I'm not sure if "Alex knows" refers to Alex knowing about "the twelve" or to Alex knowing something more about Jonas' parents, etc.
i think this could relate to the writing on the white board in the taag's new hideout. there are the numbers "9 12 18" i guessed that bree was the 9 and alex was the 18 and now maddison is the 12. based on girls ages at the estimated time the white board work was done. especially since the grammar is not "who are the twelve" or "who's the twelfth" alex knows who the other girl is, the 12, maddison. her "one more job" is to find her and...

I think the 9, 12, and 18 on the white board refer to the number of Elders there are within the Order.

12 would make sense as there are 12 apostles (and many religions tend to mirror each other on strange details like that). The twelve here could be referencing the 12 Elders, if the identities of the elders are kept secret. That would also explain the "Do they know" under Deacons (asking if the Deacons know how many Elders there are and who they are). If this is true, and Alex does know who th 12 are, then she must be pretty high in the order.

If you're still thinking that's supposed to be in reference to ages, then it wouldn't work. Six years ago, Bree was 11, not 9, and Alex is older than 26 now. As for Maddison ... well, she doesn't seem to have anything to do with the Hymn of One.

Well, I still think that the message makes sense: the 12 may very well refer to the elders.

I don't know if it means anything, but the numbers 9, 12 and 18 are all divisible by 6.

umm... you mean 3, right? :P

it seems prevailing thought was this is a fan... but with 12 appearing on the board, maybe not... now we just need to know what Seattle has to do with it!

There are no words to describe how much I hate the puzzles.

I'll just rely on some of my more puzzle-inclined poster friends to keep me up to speed. ;)
