Hilarious. When we thought yousef was being fired a few months ago, the lgpedia got seriously vandalized. A group called the United Arab Emirates Actors Guild said Yousef now needed to be credited as Allan Smithee. i think an allen smithee page may have been created too.
(hey apo - thanks for the blog plug!)

Alan Smithee is a fake name people use to credit themselves when they want to be distanced from a project. Like, they were unhappy with it and don't want to be associated with the work anymore.

Alan Smithee on Wikipedia
It was the official credit for directors who didn't want to be credited by the Directors Guild of America, until the film "An Alan Smithee Film: Burn Hollywood Burn" dragged the name into the spotlight. Since then various fake names are used.
The name is an anagram to "The Alias Men".

This site was created by the commenter Marcus as part of his Deacons ARG. But still a good find!
I will go hunting for the comment in witch he posted the link.

Definatlely fanfic. I hope that no official arg would use COMIC SANS as a font for a webpage! lol
But a very neat certificate thing they have going on there.

for those who were wondering,
as we jsut recently found out this is a fanfic from the Deacons. The Decons actually has ended (from what I've been told). The PM was discovered and as a result he decided to stop the ARG.

if the deacons thing was ended,
why does the "view source" say it was made in '07?

that's exactly why I brought it up! Nothing says viva la resistance like comic sans...
Just to reiterate...I just googled opaphid on a rare bored day (i had been filling them up with opfun, but there's none to be had) and kept digging until I found somthing interesting. Simple as that. Try it. You'll find there's an opaphid site that almost seems like it's 'in waiting' - i haven't looked in a long time but I think whois said it was registered to a familiar company in arizona (maybe the same as lg15.com??) don't quote me, but I don't have time to double check right now.
