Anyway, as Bree said that it's "girls who show potential at birth" that get taken from their parents, perhaps they are tatooed to make sure that the order will always be able to identify them. Even if she did manage to escape the order's grasp, they would always be able to identify what she is because of the mark on her back.
Woo, I agree with you. Though there is so many questions running through my head now that I've seen her tattoo... So many reasons why that could be there.... hey can anyone get a close up screen shot of it for me?

It's not a tattoo. It's a scar. They would have had to brand her with something if that were the case. I remember early on it was discussed as a birthmark. So was she born with it or branded?
I don't particularly like the idea of an orderite branding an infant, no matter how evil they may (or may not) be.

My bad!
Although, scarring can be done using the same method as tattooing, just without using any ink, and by the tattooist being "heavy handed". Or it could be the result of cutting, or, like you said, branding (whether heat, chemical, laser or cold).

yea everyone knew already that the bathing suit was low cut for a reason (to show off the scar). Nothing was really "slipped" or "hinted" at.
We've discussed the significance of the scar/birthmark for a while.
I think the only difference is that Bree calls it a birthmark jess calls it a scar. So what might be slipped is what it actually is and the possibilities behind it.

Hahaha.
I accidentally clicked on the tags thread, and it was so funny what I found.
Way back when, Tachyon was discarded as an "irrelevant" tag.
LMAO

Its a brand, hmmmm....that one slipped by me.
I agree Giddeanx. some sort of tracking device could've been placed in there.
Betcha there were hundreds of babies marked like that...you know all the ones that showed "potential" at birth. Maybe the watcher symbol goes two ways, the watcher and the watched

lonelygirl15 wrote:Hmm. I've just always had this mark on my back. I remember my mom teasing me about it when I was little ... I've never really "seen it" because it's on my back, but I am insecure about it ... who likes big ugly birth marks? Anyway, how could a "watcher" mark be on my back? That's just crazy ... I'm sure you're just seeing things. It's just a weird birth mark, that's all.
At least we now know we didn't overanalyze this one. The Creators intended for us to see it the whole time.
