Has there been widespread speculation that Jonas IS gay? Generally, we don't need people to tell us that they ARE NOT gay - heteronormativity works by making us all think that people are straight until proven gay - so either 1) enough people have speculated that Jonas is gay so that they creators needed to emphasize that he isn't (so that we still see him as competition with DB for Bree?), 2) it was simply a funny joke (this is most likely, it's always funny to watch a gay guy hopelessly hit on straight men - please sense the sarcasm), or 3) it was there for a reason in the plot that has yet to be determined.

No one's sure yet what was said to Sonya about "getting." We've heard the following suggestions:

-to leave
-drunk
-number
-file
-money

The first two have the most people that "heard" them, but there's been a fair number for the others as well. Right now, I wouldn't start theorizing with any of them, as each one of these has several people willing to attest that they heard it clear as day.

By the way, guys, it was Carl who was being a prick at the party. Toby was Jonas' polite cousin.

Not with all of us (or anyone who's known more than one homosexual or bisexual in their lifetime). I personally assume someone is either bisexual or asexual until I'm given reason to think otherwise. It's usually closer to the truth, I've found.

That's a good way to look at it lurker. I know a lot of gay people but to be honest when I meet people or see people the first thing going through my head is never...Gee, I think he's gay or I think she's straight. It's just not something I think about unless someone comes off really gay to me which can happen sometimes.

I don't mean to suggest it's something I think about per se. I just mean that I don't make an assumption about their sexuality based on whether they're male or female.

Wrong. I think the creators are making an inside joke for the forumites by playing with the idea of Jonas being gay. But having Jonas back away from a creepy dude who's hitting on him does not prove that he isn't gay, any more than having him back away from a creepy woman who's hitting on him would prove he isn't straight.

In fact, by your logic, having him turn down the woman who offered him her room key would prove definitively that he is gay.

Ok at the end of the new video, where it shows the outtakes Daniel showed, if you listen at the end of the video, when the man and the woman couple are talking and Daniel goes to them, they are the LAST couple, or persons showed.

You can hear the man say to the woman when Daniel first starts to film them,
"So you can talk to Alex. So you can get her nephew's money."

Anyone else hear it?

Then after the man says that to the woman, Daniels says Whats up? And they act like nothing happened.

i thought that he said "so you can get her nephew's number". as in this guy, the girl's boyfriend, was jealous because he thought his girlfriend was after jonas... and he was a really agressive guy
