what i found interesting and made it obvious to me that we're supposed to see them was because daniel didn't even look at the rest of the back pack, he just opened that pocket then left it...

like...duh! how much more obvious would that be.
exactly. It was obvious...they made it that way.

What are we to think....

This probably isn't correct but maybe the cards are there to draw our attention to the bag.

Think about it: Jonas left without his bag. What is he carrying his stuff in? He just took the camera, keys, and ran? Maybe he plans on coming back?

You're right..if that was HIS bag...why didn't he take it? Who is to say that Jonas ran off? Maybe he was kidnapped?

Perhaps, the next video will be from OpAphid?

"What up Bree.. It's Joooooonyyyy T!! Check it, we've been eating Pizza and Ice cream it's soooo cool! You should come do spin art with me!"

It had to be his bag since Daniel was looking for the keys in it. I don't think he was taken my anyone though, Daniel didn't mention any other tracks except what he thought were Jonas'.

lol Libra!

Could it be both? They did a product placement and now incorrporating it in they are making it part of the clues? and we do have so mant past uses of cards.

I believe that they mentioned the product endorsement was for candy specifically.
The fact that there was a card ad right after the vid is not insignificant, I think. However, it seems they may be working it into the plot. Someone in the other thread said something about a particular playing card triggering Daniel, and I'm almost sure they said it was from the LGPedia.

So now the obvious question: Did Jonas plant them there to trigger Daniel?

LLP... I think they were refering to a movie that used cards as a trigger... though I could have missed an update of it also being used on Daniel. And it could be that he had them in order to use the card if needed.

Remember that LGPedia is updated by fans, not anyone who knows for sure the plot from the creator's view. Not all info there is to be trusted.

We don't know that it was Jonas' bag at all. They looked in drawers...probably looked everywhere. We can't assume it was his.

The ads after the films are not chosen by people uploading videos. I think we can disregard that.

I do think it's odd that last time we saw those cards, they were being played...and next thing you know DannyB is kidnapped.

I don't think Jonas is kidnapped, though. Too convenient.

Who does product placement for generic playing cards? The brand wasn't even that visible. I don't think this was the product placement.

Apparently the way revver works is, someone reviews videos before its uploaded to tack on an appropriate ad at the end.

Sorry for the off topic, but I thought that the product placement was the candy in the poker video with Katherine McPhee.

/On topic

I think that the cards are significant, even if they just represent a simpler time when Jonas was friends with Bree and Daniel (in the poker video). If he's leaving the cards behind, could that mean that he's leaving behind the pretense that he's their friend?

Nope. The Creators didn't bring up product placement until February 2. The McPhee video came out in mid-January. Also, the candy in that vid wasn't an identifiable brand near as I can tell.

No, they're chosen by the Creators based on who gives them money to advertise on the site.
