I agree completely Z.

I want to say something real quick. I know this seems a little pompous of me, like I'm the one in charge. All I want to gain from this thread is to make sure that any D.R.O.P. recovery goes smoothly, to make sure the game and the series continues to run smoothly. So we need to be organized, and those with experience need to lead by example.

To update: we have southern California pretty well covered. If any of you live in the Sierra Nevada mountain area, I would like to have a couple of you lined up (snow covered mountains in the vids and all). If the drop is anywhere near the California/Oregon border, we probably have that covered :)

Here's what I don't understand...

We keep hearing from people how they live in CA and they want to be involved...

Here's your perfect opportunity...jump on it!!!

In order for the kids to have a good vacation, they need to know that we'll keep things together here. We can't keep things together if we are scrambling at the last minute for drop retrievers and Operators...

So please, make up your teams now, let Lad know...

You wanna play the game...here's your chance to prove it

Just a notice guys: fallingintosin is not going to be able to be an Operator this weekend if there is a drop. So I welcome girlAnachronism and our first Operator trainee. If horcruxes is not available, then girlAnachronism
will be stepping up :)

The great thing about grad school is you have a flexible schedule.

Uh, Tiger ... don't bite off more than you can chew.

Because in case you forgot you will be the only Operator around for the majority of the weekend. Tilt and I will be getting freaky naughty together.

Or she'll probably just make me hug a tree or something.

LOL....if I know tilt, she will be online Friday night, and Saturday night...

I also contacted trainer101, who has agreed to help keep an eye on the forums when needed :)

I promise I will stay far away from everything and sit in my corner, if Tilt will give me chocolate when you are all done having a real life...

Well hopefully if "something" happens it'll happen before Saturday. Then there will be no problem.

*cough*

I live in South Orange County... about 1-2 hours away from anywhere in LA or San Diego California...

I haev all the requirements...

is #3 really a requirement? Can;t the Op and the DROP rep be notified via the forum or PM's and then exchange numbers the same way?

#3 is only a requirement because you cannot tell what operators will be available from the forums, and the flow of information is much faster on the chat. You have to at least be able to get on the IRC chat to find out which operator will be assisting you, and get up to date info on the location of the drop.

I would hate for someone to PM an operator, only to not have that operator online or paying attention, and there be a delay.

IRR, you are added to the list tho!
