What makes them friends? The fact that they have to live together to both be near Bree can account for their friendly attitude toward each other. But that does not make them friends. And for the entire time they have been staying together, we only see 2 or 3 minute clips. People to play for the camera.

I have to admit that when it comes to Bree, Daniel has known her longer and wouldn't let a friendship that hes had for a few months get in the way of a romance that has been blossoming for so much longer.

I don't think it's been blossoming. A romance is only a romance if both parties are game. Bree has made it pretty obvious that she doesn't feel that way about Daniel, if only by her reactions. He's more like a brother to her.
Which is why I think it would be stupid of him to let it (whatever it is) ruin the potential 'bond' or 'friendship' between him and Jonas- especially considering it's not clear what is going on.

Though as I said I can understand his frustration either way. Especially if he's angry about them leaving him alone in the house after what happened to him.
