But if the actor cannot continue to play Gemma, the only way for Gemma to 'come back' would be for Gemma's brain to be transplanted into another body so another actor could play her.
or they could do like the soap opera's, and just use a different actress, and require that we "suspend disbelief".

Gemma could be a double-agent, and it serves Tachyon's purpose for some reason to make her appear dead.

That's actually a very interesting possibility. Gemma could have done something to reveal her intentions to the Order, so Tachyon "killed" her so that she could lay low for a while, to return to the action at a later date.

Perhaps she'd want to keep that a secret from the Order, but then what was Gemma doing in Guam if she was just in LA a month or two ago? It seems like that Tachyon was never around until she dropped in to save Bree, but as it turns out she was Gemma and in LA the whole time? Doesn't really make sense...
You think she would tell us everything? she did say: "there are some thing I can't tell and some things I won't tell. Well staying in guam laying low while your death sinks in is kind of a smart thing to do don't t you think?

I think that Gemma could of been good. She did send a lot of mixed messages, giving different sorts of advice. Maybe sometimes, while brain washed she was sort of giving advice to go in one direction, the one that would help the order gain Bree back, but when she started coming around she'd give advice to help Bree out. I don't know, it's just an idea.

what if.....
gemma started out good (i.e. warning bree about the watchers)
the order found out
the order made her bad (they're quite capable of mind control, as we've noticed)
tachyon saw gemma with the order and filmed it, etc
the order actually had paraded bad gemma around CA, kindof asking for her to be discovered.
this SHOULD HAVE caused bree and daniel to distrust everything gemma said- this was the order's intention (to cover for themselves)
but bree and daniel, not being that bright, still haven't figured it out, and they still don't trust the watchers (which is good, bc watchers are bad)

Gemma said she had to do school :phbit: wuss; these vids are uber short (especially her 1min> videos!).
but i coulda sworn their correspondence hinted to a Gemma return once school settles down for the actress; maybe this summer?

I think that's a very good idea. All I know is I believe that Gemma at one point was good. Obviously in the end she turned out not to be. I think you've made some really good points.

Gemma was actually working for OpAphid at least as far back as February 2006. She got close to Sebastian/Brother for them (romantically), and then led one of the Ipod Opera goons (War Pylol) to his safehouse to blow it up. I think she's been bad for a very long time.

untrue; the reply mail one of the create-a-trons sent her hinted to Gemma possibly not being evil when the actress gets back (no way to really quote it; damn these English tenses, verbs, etc)

I think it would be pretty lame if she came back
"Oh I used to be evil but now I'm good" seems a tad bit stupid in my opinion. Plus whae would her role be in the whole plot if she came back?

I think the 'brainwashing' Gemma was under is the same that influences Bree. She was an 'Order baby' and thus raised to think in a particular way. The difference seems to be Daniel. Gemma had a crush on an outsider once and her parents forbade her from talking to him. Bree's parents, on the other hand, allowed Daniel to take on a huge role in Bree's life.
