I have an idea. Maybe Cassie was brought to watch the Ceremony of another girl, but wasn't necessarily the girl it was centered around. All it said was that she "drink the red stuff" so why would she need shots to do that? Oh wait, but she took shots so she must have been the girl they used. IDK I'M SO CONFUSED.

Maybe there are two ceremonies. Maybe the "chosen girls" get shots and go to another ceremony in early adolescence.

Well when I saw the picture I saw words on the other side so I took it into photoshop and reversed it and messed with the levels. the result is disapointing.
