I've seen more of the "itscassie is canon" speculation lately.

I'm probably going to sound like Simon on American Idol. ("I don't mean to be rude, but...")

For itscassie to be canon, the Creators would at some point have to explain why they chose this video thread to feature someone who is clearly not an actress, written by someone who is clearly an amateur screenwriter, and demonstrate production values clearly inferior to LG15. She talks too much. She rambles. She over-emotes. The videos show no knowledge of lighting or any other aspect of video production. It's like a girl at slumber party trying to improvise a scary story for her friends.

LG15 videos, on the other hand, seem to be created by people who know their craft and who use that knowledge to give a realistic impression of teenage kid videos (even though they are actually tightly produced, lit, edited, written, etc.).

The girl who creates itscassie actually is a kid trying to produce a video in the same vein, which is why--despite her best efforts--they are clunky in nearly every regard.

Every LG15 video ends with me saying to myself, "is that all?" They advance the plot a little and then I can't wait for the next installment. Itscassie videos are so rambling I can honestly say I've never been able to watch one all the way through, nor do they appear to contain any element that advances the plot.

Actually, if I were one of the Creators, it would hurt my feelings a little that some LG15 fans can't tell the difference between their work and itscassie.

I hope that doesn't come across as a flamable opinion. It is just that--my opinion.

Actually, until recently, I liked Cassie's videos more than the canons. Unlike Canon vids, Cassie wasn't trying to look realistic in the first place, so she had more room to explore

Not an actress? Can you give a specific example of when she screwed up in her acting? and what do you mean by "clunky?"

The "picture of Bree" in the yearbook was priceless. I thought itscassie was hilarious, especially the writing.

I am a self-admitted fan of itscassie!

However, I can write an objective analysis. There are different ways to ask the question:

Is itscassie canon?

No. The Creators have not yet announced any of the many Cassies to be the canon character, Cassie.

Fine, Apo. Is itscassie going to be made the canon Cassie?

The Creators have a popular show. Obviously, if and when they select or invent a character for the role of Cassie, they would want to use someone they knew would enhance their show's popularity. Is that character itscassie? I don't know.

However, itscassie is good and getting better with each installment, IMHO.

I thought it was getting better for a while-- I enjoyed the lab rat one, and maybe one or two before that-- but her whole "I'm also brainwashed" thing was pretty lame. I guess it worked with her getting experimented on, but I would have had more respect if she'd taken it in a different, more original direction and made it still coincide with the story. There's lot's of fan speculation that does that well. At least she's not talking about eating people and dreading her own death any more.

Yeah. Her last three videos (including the newest one) have just been terrible. I've never liked her, but she was carving out her own interesting little story, and now it seems like she's just trying to do whatever it takes to be made canon, when it's pretty obvious it isn't going to happen.

Your right. its nothing compared to the actual videos in the LG series. I know that itscassie is fan made, and cassieiswatching is no longer active. so there are no official cassies in the LG story line. until the creators themselves say they wanna do something with that character. the cassies probably aren't canon.
