Serge Gainsbourg.

And The Carpenters.

I'm also fond of Vampyros Lesbos: Sexadelic Dance Party, a great compilation of music from Jess Franco flicks...

I'm not embarrassed about listening to these things, but some people shake their heads at me...

Sheikh, the people who shake their heads at you are idiots. That music is totally sophisticated (yes, even The Carpenters). Only the coolest people like it.

Needless to say, I was about to post that I like The Carpenters too. But I'm surprised that anybody gives you shit for Serge Gainsbourgh or Vampyros Lesbos (which I also own, and adore).

Ever listen to LuxuriaMusic.com? It's my favorite on-line radio station. It plays that kind of stuff all the time. It describes itself this way: "LuxuriaMusic programming is an original mix of music content not found anywhere else. LuxuriaMusic features an intoxicating and often hallucinatory blend of musical genres, featuring Exotica, Lounge, Space Age Bachelor Pad, Bossa, Bollywood, Bubblegum,Soft-Psych, Go-Go, Latin Jazz, Sophisticated Rock and Surf music." Check it out.

I love Neil Diamond and Abba. There, I said it. I also love Burt Bacharach and Gordon Lightfoot.

God, I love *Nsync. I used to write *Nsync fanfics on nsyncworld.com...that site is..just gone now. I did that when I was in 9th - 10th grade. I was obsessed. I had a room full of *Nsync. You wouldn't know that now. ^_^ haha..but lately, I've been listening to their old album...Sailing..is such a great song. Their first CD ruled. I miss them.

Justin and JC just did a song together..it sounds so much better than just Justin or just JC all alone---I think they should get back together. ^_^

If I could read your mind love
What a tale your thoughts could tell
Just like a paperback novel
The kind that drugstores sell
When you reach the part where the heartaches come
The hero would be me
But heroes often fail
And you won't read that book again
Because the ending's just too hard to take
Heh. Nothing wrong with those. I'm a sucker for Gordon...

I used to have a bootleg of ABBA demos. "Fernando" sounded awesome on that cassette. I'd play it when intoxicated people refused to leave my place at, say, four in the morning...

And come on. Burt Bacharach is cool. :P

Yeah, I'm familiar with that operation. Thanks, though. :)

I actually own quite a few Franco films...

I dig Bollywood playback singers, btw. A lot of people don't "get" that music, but it's beyond cool. Asha Bhosle rules.
