Yeah, I agree. I like their presence, it does add just another layer to the whole thing...

It sort of reminds me of that movie "Goodfellas" in the last few scenes where the helicopters are following them and they're getting all paranoid about it.

In "The Unthinkable Happened" I could have sworn I heard helicopters in the background of the video before the shooting happened. I can recall hearing them quite often, I think one time was before their room was ransacked, or after they fled it... I can't remember. It's late, so I'm too lazy to look, lol, but I know it happened around then.

Anyway, the helicopters seem to be associated with the darker sides of the story a lot, that I do agree with, and they're sort of foreshadowing.

But, yeah... this is my first post, hehe. I've been watching for about three months now, but I just recently discovered the whole Tachyon/OpAphid/Brother spectacle, so I know I'm missing out on a lot of little info and stuff that might have already been talked about, sooo....

i almost feel as though bree and daniel MUST know that the helicopters mean something otherwise they wouldnt keep on panning over shots of them in the vids.

Surely you are not just now realizing that Bree and Daniels shoot and edit their own videos and that there is NO WAY they can have not seen them and have intentionally left them in the final edits.

These videos are VLOGS, made by the characters not third-parties who hide things from them! I refuse to believe Daniel and Bree are stupid enough to randomly include helicopter footage in their own videos for no reason.

Bree: "Oh look Daniel, another pretty helicopter. Let's film it, it is soooooo pretty." Daniel: "OK Bree, we need some symbolism in our vlogs." Jonas: "I can afford to buy you one Bree, just let me know."

Not.

I don't mean to be rude, but please just think about that for a minute. Please don't take this as a personal insult, I am just pointing out some pretty serious issues with the story making sense...

Oh, and I personally love Helicopters and have flown in them quite a bit. They are LOUD and hard to ignore. Auto-rotation is a world of fun.

I think everything in the videos is important. maybe they are used just to show paranoia of the characters- as if they are afraid anyone could be watching them.

Maybe it's a reminder to us that these people who everyone claims are really connected with the law/authorities have ways of watching them.

I think it's important.

Of course they are important. Important enough for the Bree and Daniel to put them in the videos. I am sure the simple explanation is that they are showing us they are being followed. Why they don't mention them is beyond me, but I guess the footage is enough. It sure is getting a reaction out of us. Hee.

To give this story what's left of it's credibility you have to suspend disbelief and remember the characters make these vids, not M &M . Otherwise, the vlog format is dead in the water and the whole narrative falls apart. It is very challenging on our, and the creator's, parts to sustain this SOD and it becomes increasingly difficult the more convoluted the plot gets.

I want to see Gemma buzz up in a Helicopter and then P. Monkey shoots a Surface to Air Missle at her skanky a**. Just kidding. Well, you can't argue that wouldn't be good.

I am sometimes not the most polite monkey, but the frustration is more with the gross inconsistencies of the plot than any given phorumite. I have been "at" this for what seems like an eternity and the story continually teeters on the edge of greatness vs. truly dumb. More the second as of late.

BTW, I was agreeing with you... Bring on the choppers, aliens, flying beer-swilling monkeys (yay!), whatever... I just want it to make sense from the original vlog POV. That is the foundation of the story and it is raveling apart...

Please go back and watch all the videos, if you haven't already, and maybe you will see what I am talking about.

The helicopters do appear to bear some importance, but I don't think I will be too concerned about them until one of them appears in a night shoot and spotlights Jonas' car.

Then I would worry.
