Nikki can indeed do better than Jonas.
And even if she already is canon, I prefer the Creators not officially making her it. She's more effective in her mysterious position as possibly canon with her giving of clues than she would be in a "definitely canon" position.

I would agree, Hyemew. I like the idea of someone representing "interaction" (getting tips, teasing us with "coincidences," showing us additional info that doesn't necessarily have an impact on the plot, lightening the mood, sharing the wisdom of Nancy Drew). I like having NikkiBower contribute as a mysterious and yet chipper participant. I hope she continues in this manner after the New Year.

I agree for pretty much the duration of the series, but when it all ends, I think we should finally get a confirmation of her place as canon. Even if she wasn't before, I think it would be cool for them to include her. You know, something like in the final episode Nikki finally catches up with Daniel and Bree and wants an interview.

I'm not sure how that interview would go. NikkiBower would probably be all love-struck at the sight of Jonas. It would be pretty humorous, though, if she got a chance to interview him and forgot all of her questions and instead flirted with him the whole time.

(For the PC police: I am, by no means, insulting either her reporting skills, nor her ability to be a good woman reporter, however. I'm just responding to her friendly character, which is quite human and easy to relate to.)
