Does the flatmate really exist?

I know that Gemma wasn't in England the whole time she said she was, but didn't she live with Bree somewhere in/near Britain?(Nottingham maybe?)

I know she did a lot of the fake English stuff...but wouldn't Bree have noticed if she all of a sudden came up with an English Accent? I mean they did live together in the community at one point or another.....

That said, I wonder about the flatmate too....is there some sinister or otherwise hidden meaning to this flatmate? Maybe it was just a veiled reference to Op Aphid?
