We're just playing in their sandbox. We use the toys, kick sand around, but in the end it's still THEIR sandbox.
lol.

But I think at times, we the audience DO get demanding. We then turn into the kid that goes to your sandbox, kicks dirt in your face, steals and breaks your toys, and spits in your hair.
That reminds me - Anyone hear from Spaciegirl?

SpacieGirl left the forums a few days ago. She asked that I delete her account. I waited a couple of days for her to be certain, and she was.

:(

We seem to have lost several people, including ones who posted regularly. Remember recently appointed moderator Wintermute? Haven't seen him in ages.

Most leave with no notice. Spacie did explain why she was leaving, at least. It's sad to lose people who were really into it and posted regularly, but it IS always nice to see new fans come on and make their presence felt!

Oh, that's sad. Spacie was one of the highlights of the forum for me.

Ah...well, better not to rehash the whole thing. But apparently the cannonization of OpAphid was the tipping point for her. It seemed to me that she didn't like feeling she HAD to follow Op, even though the Creators said you don't have to follow it to stay with the LG15 storyline. But to be honest, I tried to stay out of her issues thread, so I could be wrong.

Spacie got upset when OpA was officially introduced into the storyline. She felt that fans who had been around for a while but not following OpA were blindsided by the addition. She responded with a mass "tomato throwing" in a number of threads.

Unfortunately, she did not stick around to read the explanation that OpA was, in fact, fan-fic which was added and was not a production of the Creators.

Sad, because like her or not, she was entertaining.

back on topic...

I may be new to forums, but I've been following the whole saga for quite a bit...

Ever since Bree's been on the run, the whole plot has gotten REALLY strange and really different from the "original" videos.

Instead of being a funny, geeky girl making essentially normal vlogs in a world that's a little off... it's turning into... oh I don't even know how to describe it. It almost seems like the plot is at a standstill and they don't know where to go--every other video is basically just asking the fans what they should do. I think they should move forward with the plot, not care SO MUCH about fan opinion that it'll affect the storyline, and also focus more on character development.

Maybe fire Gemma and Jonas' writers too... Bree and Daniel are terrically well-developed characters brought to life by great actors, but Gemma and Jonas are kind of hakneyed, cliched cardboard cutouts.

Ani (love your handle BTW), I completely agree with you. Thanks for reminding me/us that Gemma's and Jonas's writers and directors aren't the original creative team. They really aren't holding up their end of the deal (whatever "the deal" happens to be). The actors aren't so bad, but they don't have a lot to work with.

The original creators should either fire the Gemma and Jonas teams outright, or take much greater control over what happens in those "spinoff" vids. Or else I suspect we'll get a whole lot more pointless meandering all over the map and the globe.

Didn't move me one way or the other. I HOPING they find a way to make money with this. Why is it you seem to have an anti-LG agenda?
