There used to be a website link where you could just log-on to the IRC chat without having to download anything. Where did that link go? I've been off the forums for a week and now can't find my way around!

okay, so i've spent the last week lurking around here trying to get myself caught up and the only thing i cannot figure out is how to connect to the chat! i've tried using both mIRC (following all of your great instructions to a T) and also from the web interface (http://java.freenode.net/index.php ).

on mIRC I get the message "unable to connect to server" and in the chat log it says my connection is timed out. and in the java chat i get the message "unable to connect: null."


I don't know what to try next! Is it a firewall that's up on my computer, perhaps? has anyone else had these same problems and figured them out?

if anyone has any ideas, i am open to all suggestions.
