I feel 100% sure that OpAphid is canon, there are too many things the community is blowing off as coincidence or copycat. We have had this Canon debate in the IRC quite a few times when dust settles down, and the general concenus is becoming canon. I don't understand why people would be afeared of a Cassie II, seeing as Cassie was not canon and had the ability to abandon us whenever. At least this project seems to have a little direction and follows the original storyline (where Cassie went all crazy on us and talked of rape and wild priests), and if this thing is under contract then there has to be a decent ending somewhere. And hopefully the somewhere will not be on Strange Life.

Erm, this may be a bad reason but I believe OpAphid IS canon, because those pictures of Daniel from Tachyon's drop (The pictures of him taking pictures of Bree, or whatever) couldn't have been taken by a random person, since the film set would probably have security.
How else would she have gotten those pictures of him??

This is the first ARG that I have played and I sort of fell into it accidently. Not having any other experience to base this on, my opinion may not count for anything or may be totally skewed. I feel that OpAphid didn't originally start out as canon. I think that as it progressed, the creators of both vehicles decided that it would be in both of their best interests financially to work together vs having two separate entities fighting for the same audience (and/or $). Watching the two story lines progress lately has been like watching two lines converge into one IMHO. I think that they are no longer concerned with whether or not something is canon as much as they want to keep us interested for as long as possible.

In the beginning, I think OpAphid was simply focused on dispatching Cassandra and her evil plan. Then Op began focusing on the current matters in the LG15 storyline. I mean, seriously, she had to do something about poor Cassandra. People were still clinging to the hope that CiW/Frank would return.

I agree that I think that OpAphid is canon, for many of the reasons described above. I think the resistance to it being canon relies mostly on the fact that many people on the forums ignored this section at the bottom, and don't like the idea that they may have missed out on a crucial part of the story.
