anyone wanna try to freestyle something?

I feel your touch when I'm without you
I feel your skin, I feel the breath that's deep within you,
my heart it beats to a different beat,
but when I'm with you it's right in sync,
it must be that lil jolt I felt,
when we went to dinner and that night I knelt,
the lights that were right on that candlelit night,
was as beautiful a day as the when we flew that kite,
I remember it all, even that first kiss,
but it's all the anticipation that I really miss,
It may seem old, this flame rising anew,
my love is burning, but I thought you already new,
cross your heart, yet die not to hope,
for in your arms is the place I'ld rather cope.
Cope with the darkness that swells in the back where it's kept,
never knowing how much I would feel so indepth.
You opened my heart, my soul, my smiles,
for without you, I know we are within miles.
Show me you remember and I'll show you I care,
Don't ever forget me, don't let the feeling burn in the air.

Why forget this hope that we feel inside?
To live alone and always wonder why,
What could have been, if we could touch the sky.

There is one answer I seem to find

Let us not forget this heat
These words mark their place in time
And if we need them, these words we will find.

yet to always settle for less

For distance alone cannot refuse

I'll travel in a plane through the skies

I'll walk on coals to hold you near
over broken glass I will show no fear

Molotov Kiss

The light that squeals, a glance unbecoming,
Blue lightning stops you in its dead gaze

A humble world will never know
The peace, the fire, the inner glow,
The insectile probes that eat our flesh
And expel rich gases, heavy souls

Coughing up a lung half-filled with nasal hair,
Waiting, watching, expecting nothing

Dreadlocked agitation, rebellion, downtown streets,
Giant cars bobbing to diff'rent beats,
Nameless stew, an aimless miasma
Fuels corroded hearts, and churches and stores burn

Knowing in some secret bundle of fibers
That you'd like to be with her, just once

The grit that in hot breezes makes eyelids flutter,
Tired brains with the consistency of peanut butter,
Scrape a thought, a memory,
Dissent evaporates into twilit clouds

Raining down, imagined touch of her lips,
Hands cradling your swollen head

Then waking to a revolution.

This is an old one of mine

Soaring

I stand on the cliff
feeling the salty breeze
gazing at the rocks below
where the darkness never leaves

staring at the birds above
wishing I could fly
maybe if I were better
but my weaknesses are nigh

So I step off the end
the only time my heart stirs
and for one brief second in time
I'm soaring with the birds
