Honestly, I dont think she could have approached that question from any angle and gotten a better result.
You kidding?
Starting the interview with "How has the death of Maddison Atkins affected your family?" (Not "Maddison," or "your daughter," etc...)?
Not being able to give a reason for why she's interested in Maddison and her death besides the fact that her advisor told her she needed to?
I'm hardly the most tactful guy on the planet, and even I think that Clara's conduct in this interview was deplorable.
Clara, if you want to putz your way through your assignments without really giving a shit, that's fine, but when your assignments involve interviewing the family of a girl who has recently been murdered, show a bit of compassion.

Note the contact person at the bottom of that press release: Clara's advisor.

Email sent. Hopefully he's somewhat prepared for IG contact.

I think that's a logical next step. Glad you wrote him.

You asked...how the death...of Maddison Atkins...affected...
Clara. Go to your advisor. Tell him you're incapable of doing this topic and that you need another one. One that requires limited to no interaction with other human beings.
This was disgusting. Think before you speak or don't speak at all.

no its not. im saying if he knows NOTHING about this and we contact him he may get mad for using his name without permission or some crap like that or would be like wtf maddison and clara and stuff :s
its just a bad idea. nice in theory but i think its for clara to ask and not us

I understand what you are saying Kelly, but I tend to disagree. They wouldn't have used an actual person if they didn't expect us to contact him. They know what hunters we are when it comes to looking things up and I think that the advisor is very much In Game.

I thought the same thing at first, but then took the following line of reasoning:
A pretty well-known actor who is adjunct faculty in his department is involved.
Clara told us his name; it would have been quite easy to make one up instead. I suspect that he may actually be involved in this chapter, and I would be shocked if they hadn't given him some kind of heads up.
He's devoted his career to film-making and other forms of art, so he probably thinks this (which from one perspective is spontaneous performance art) is really cool.
If he hasn't been informed, he probably would like to know that his name has been attached to this project. It would be an odd way to find out, but I'm sure he can deal.

OOG the acting has been great throughout. I like how everyone seems like real people not struggling LA actors about the same age no matter the role.
I also agree that the instructor's name has been used enough and has been refered to so he probably knows. If he doesn't given what he does I'm sure he will think this is very cool and exciting.

I've been torn on whether we should attempt to interact with these people or not. I mean it would obviously be better for us to try and contact people than Clara but in many cases we don't know how to do that and in the ones we do it would be nice if we had some assurance that they would be okay with being contacted by us.
OOG:Agreed with Deagol. Maddy's dad can actually act.

OOG: don't know if this was mentioned before.....but i'm pretty darn sure that the actor playing her dad was on General Hospital for awhile.
