Does anyone find it odd that "Abel" would be the "Cain" character here?

Also, I found the images in this one interesting...seductive, as he's telling Bell he needs/wants her, but they also have religious overtones - both, to me, Christian and, almost, say, Caribbean/African/voodoo (I guess in keeping with our Southern location)?

OOG: I would love to be able to tell our PM what a wonderful WONDERFUL thing he or she has put together...I'm really enjoying what I'm seeing, hearing, following!
Diane, or cher, or even chershaytoute, but "Hey, you!" works, too...

deagol wrote:Wow, this is quite a shocking development. Great work, both of you, and glad you joined us Cainam. This is becoming quite an intricate story and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. The puzzles and codes are quite a fresh breath of air from the old hex/binary/vigenere stuff.

Indeed Henry, I think we were both fooled by Bell's candidness. But I'm sure Will has his reasons, and knows Abel and Bell enough to know if something like this is necessary or even possible. Bell sounds like she would do anything for Will. Also remember we've learned Will has been known as a hitman.

After thinking about it, it shouldn't be surprising that "Abel" is the guy who gets killed. The question is, who's our "Cain"? I thought Gone was supposed to be the Cain character, but I like how the hero/villain lines are getting blurred here. I always sensed Abel wasn't such a "good guy" after all. Who knows what he's up to. According to Bell's last blog it seems Abel is responsible for putting her in danger.

I feel like I am missing something. What brought on the sudden "kill Abel"? Why put Bell in his care and then suddenly decide he must be taken out? Unless that is the reason why he sent her back there.
I can't believe he thinks Bell can pull this off, especially by herself....

I'm confused too (and a quite angry at Sean). Unless this was his plan all along, but it seems things are not going according to his plans. Given her response comments to me on her blog, I deduce they would've already drunk the "tea" by this time.

I hope she thought it through, but I'm having a bad feeling. The word sacrifice and lamb has been thrown around since "The Gone Show" a week ago. Abel put that cow's skull as his profile pic in myspace, and I just looked up his myspace url (http://www.myspace.com/litatio) and it means "a fortunate or successful sacrifice" in latin. :|

It may have been his plan all along. What with the increasing animosity towards Abel and that 'Ghost of Abel' video this may be the reason he left her there to start with. But then, I don't really understand why he wouldn't stick around and do the deed himself.
I would assume the mind of a hitman would see most folks as dispensable, but I don't think he was considering her doing herself in as well. Maybe now would be a good time to show us what that magic seal is capable of? Whatever happens, she can't go out like this.

That'd be like killing a puppy or something.
