Pesistence...An ETERNAL Hymn should be of one's own individual creation, hence that is why it is eternal to you and to you only. The eternal hymn is supposed to be a tune that comes to you through Bree's "religion" and should definitely be original because it is a calling to that religion. Besides, the creators are not going to accept another bands own copyrighted material. It would take a lot of money to be able to use property from other well-known bands. As for what type of song, it probably doesn't matter too much. They asked specifically for lyrics, but that doesn't neccesarily mean that they wouldn't use an instrumental work if it was good enough.
