Ok now that's just wrong!lonelyelendi wrote:I hate timeclocks...at my first job when I closed my manager sometimes had me clock out early but keep working, just because I was 16 and couldn't work past a certain time.wintermute wrote:I wish they'd just average my hours and then salary me for that amount. At the time I didn't realize what she was doing...but now I see that she forced me to work unpaid.
Yup! Luckily, the place I work over the summers (Nordstrom) is MUCH better with the timeclocks!Jess4298 wrote:Ok now that's just wrong!
I say we find this dastardly fiend and kick her down a flight of stairs.lonelyelendi wrote:I hate timeclocks...at my first job when I closed my manager sometimes had me clock out early but keep working, just because I was 16 and couldn't work past a certain time.

Once she made me close the shop basically by myself (it is usually done by 3-4 people) and then bitched at me for taking too long. Suffice to say, I hate Coldstone Creamery.AutoPilate wrote:I say we find this dastardly fiend and kick her down a flight of stairs.

I guess this is one of the exceptions?AutoPilate wrote:I often wonder what it's like to kick an old lady down a flight of stairs, but I don't act on it.

For a second, I thought Coldstone Creamery was a pornographic video.lonelyelendi wrote:Once she made me close the shop basically by myself (it is usually done by 3-4 people)... Reminds me of waitressing for Pizza Hut. After my raise I made an astounding $2.77 an hour. Now, the rule is...you are supposed to declare enough of your tip money to equal you getting paid minimum wage. This means you will be taxed for it. They made us do that even if it was a slow day and we DIDN'T make enough tips to equal us making minimum wage. It's a small town area, some days are too slow for that. I refused to declare and then pay taxes on money I didn't make and was told I was against policy.lonelyelendi wrote:Once she made me close the shop basically by myself (it is usually done by 3-4 people) and then bitched at me for taking too long.
