Actually if you watch the video again...he's changing attitude and he's getting really grumpy when she mentions OpAphid*. I swear I connected with Daniel for the first time ever!

Oh come on now. No one's being snobby or trying to make the "noobs" (read: new to OPAPHID ONLY) feel unwelcome on purpose. If you're getting that impression well I'm guess I'm going to have to apologise on their behalf.
I've only counted 6 people in these forums who aren't taking the merge as some sort of personal attack.

Anyway, if you're choosing not to follow OpA, fine. There's no need for me to try and play peace-maker anymore.

I went over and asked where to find the summary of what's happened so far, and though at last peek, 10 people had viewed my post, no one bothered to even comment, much less help me out. Doesn't seem very friendly, even though I was really trying to keep an open mind...

I confess that I find reading even just the summaries of what has been discovered in the OpAphid ARG mind-numbingly tedious. Has OpAphid generated any plot-relevant information?

If so, someone knowledgeable should really consider creating an entry on LGPedia giving a brief summary of what the OpAphid research has to offer LG15 viewers--not a summary of the history of OpAphid problem solving, just a summary of plot-relevant information. I think that would do a lot to assuage the anger visible throughout this thread.

*Disclaimer* I'm not trying to put down OpAphid--If you're into this that's fine and understandable. I'm only saying that I and, I think, many LG15 devotees are uninterested in the whole ARG aspect.

I think/hope that the best way to think about Bree's mention of OpAphid is that the Creators were simply acknowledging the ARG and validating the work that OpAphid fans have been doing.

What we have is a post by HyeMew (which hasn't been edited since being put up, by the way), in which she quoted twjaniak (whom she was actually addressing; not you), who just happened to have quoted you previously.

Do you notice which of those vid series that wasn't removed from the part of your post that HyeMew left in? Also, which one was the only one relevant to the address being made to twjaniak? And which vid series did we just happen to learn is actually canon shortly before that post was made? That's right: OpAphid. Thus, why she said "Bree: I wish you weren't a liar!" (which, lest it be somehow misunderstood, was an address to twjaniak, not you, regarding OpAphid's status as canon).

THANK YOU LURKER! That was amazing and said absolutely everything I was going to! Frankly, I woke up and saw I had a bunch of pmessages. They were all from that igfrenzy person screaming all sorts of stuff at me. I frankly didn't even remember nor had any idea what they were talking about! I guess they saw in the quoted section that I trimmed it with elipses, not their original post, and thought I had edited it. Jeez, what an overreaction, I never even touched their precious post nor had any desire to! The funniest thing is that in one of their pmessages they threatened that they're out of here, and are TAKING SOME WITH THEM! OH NO!

All I have to say, is that if these people you're taking are as nutty and overreactive as you, then good riddance. Oh and an apology would be nice.

Yes! I agree! that would be so helpful to all of us who don't have the time, energy or the inclination to follow along. From what I can see, it's pretty fast paced and not all of us can keep up. I'd rather just know how it all relates to the LG15 story line instead of reading pages and pages of problem solving before getting any info out of it.

It was suggested that they do as we do and make FAQ's and update the LGpedia. That would end a lot of frustration on both ends, I think.

I've gone to the OpAphid page at various points trying to read up about it, since I never understood it, but that page was so disorganized and huge that it kept me from even starting reading. So I still don't know the first thing about it.

Though I'm not up on Opa...and I don't know any of this for sure I think that people are getting way to worked up over this. I think people are once again thinking to much of the board and to little of the videos. The video's are where the story is being told. The board is suppliment materials. I could be wrong but if the creators are any good at what they do they will not bring this into the story and then make you go back to the board to find out whats going on. Bree told us what it was. People in the videos will most likely be telling us what we NEED to know about OpAphid to understand the story. The info on OpAphid on this board can be used to better understand it but should not be a necessity to view the story.

Remeber there are what... a few thousand of us on the board? There are 10s of thousands watching this between yt and revver. Obviously I could be wrong about all this but if the creators want this thing to please more than a couple hundred people ..everything I've said is the route they will go.

Tachyon = Renegade agent who is on the run. Rumours are that Tachyon = Lucy by the way she talks in her older videos.
Brother = Tachyon's partner who is looking for her. They leave each other tedious as hell codes via YouTube, Voicemail and Craigslist.com. We're not sure if brother has a direct direct direct link yet. (if we are, I can't remember)

Benefits of keeping up with the ARG?
It gives you insight into what type of people The Order are.
If Tachyon is indeed Lucy, who is with Brees parents then we might have a clue where they are/where they are headed. And we know that The Order are after them.
Probably other stuff but I can barely keep my eyes open right now, I'll ask if anyone will do it in the other threads.

So basically OpAphid is to LG15 as TLE was to Lost? Not essential but you got a lot of info you wouldn't get in the show?

yeh that sounds about right. In that it had it's own story line and characters, and just tenuous links to the story, and snippets of info that hardcore fans were interested in (ie the origin of the numbers and some stuff about hanso). I managed to get all the major info out of that within a couple of hours of reading and veiwing after the whole thing had finished. The info was nice to know but not essential, as all my friends who watch lost didn't follow it and they didn't need to in order to still enjoy the story.

One thing with that arg was that they had a really good thread that explained everything chronologically (videos etc.), with a brief description of each puzzle, how it was solved and what it revealed.

I just hope that we can get something similar set up here.
