I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being suicide considering all that has been going on in her life. I mean, there is the new baby but she could have had post partum depression.

But for some reason I don't think it was suicide. Maybe it was the toll of all those drugs on her system. They said something about how she had been displaying flu like symptoms earlier in the week.

So tragic. I feel bad for the baby. She won't get to know her mother. And sadly will probably be exposed to the tabloids opinion of the kind of person her mom was. Which is utter crap.

Everyone has problems. Some people just are able to hide them better than others.

And celebrities are exposed to such a critical eye because 'everyone loves gossip'.

The whole thing is very tragic.

I, for one, was pretty ticked off at the cable news programs for speculating into why she died. Most of the people didn't really care about her and thought that her life was a mess, she was mostly just a party girl and she was famous just because she was famous-a la Paris Hilton. I think she was a good person at heart, but that she was saddled with a drug and alcohol addiction that either contributed to or fueled her outrageous lifestyle. Perhaps she wasn't very intelligent or lacked social graces, but she was still a rather good mother and fought for what she believed in--yes, namely inheritance from J. Howard Marshall's death. After all, it's mostly speculation and accusation that has led some to believe that she was just a gold digger (which I don't think she was). Most importantly, she didn't deserve the misery that befell her in her final year--death of her son, custody battle, being dragged into the TrimSpa lawsuit. On that last point, I don't think that she should have been named in the lawsuit because she was just a spokesperson. TrimSpa hired her and told her what to do and what do say, and they also led people to believe that TrimSpa was mostly what caused Anna Nicole to lose so much weight.

OK, I'll end my rant, but I guess I was somewhat of a fan. I watched her TV show, and although I didn't care for her more outrageous behavior, I don't think that the media should persecute her for it. Other celebrities have been just as outrageous or worse, but the media didn't cast as harsh a glare on them (Paris Hilton, obviously, and Adrienne Curry isn't a saint). I'm thinking maybe the media felt free to criticize her and dismiss her because of her weight . It's pretty clear that tabloids look negatively upon overweight women. And she probably had many good qualities, but the media chose not to focus on them because debauchery sells. Sad but true, at least from their perspective.

i think it's very sad and tragic that anna nicole died, but i think just because she wanted to be marilyn monroe there are no grounds for comparison.
marilyn monroe is an american style and cultural icon! her influence was so big that she is still being copied (i.e. anna). she was married to joe dimaggio and arthur miller, two hugely important figures in history. i just think she is an amazing part of american nostalgia and if all you have now in that vein is anna nicole smith....that is kind of sad.

She was a total nut, but it's still way sad.

Yeah, I know.....I should just let this thread go but I just watched Entertainment Tonight and the way they are portraying the common denominator in the two deaths or Daniel and Anna, one Mr. Howard K. Stern is really annoying me. I know, I know...innocent until blah, blah, blah....he just acts SOOOO FAKE!!!!

The whole "whos the baby's daddy" stuff is ka-razy!

What, theres like 3 guys saying that he is the one.. plus now they are saying that she used sperm from her dead husband (howard marshall?) in order to secure her claim on his mula.

Oh and I found the pic of her fridge disturbing. Methadone and a bunch of slim fast. (okay so the slim fast wasnt disturbing, but kinda funny since she was a trimspa lady.. the trimspa guy even went on tv saying that if she were alive she would be in violation of her contract for having that)

CB.....this all seems SO surreal! It's sad. I feel so, so, so sad for the baby. Who does she spend her day with? Is she really loved, and by whom? I honestly think they only way she can have anything resembling a normal life is to be put up for adoption, almost to the point of a witness protection-type program. Nothing good can come of any of this.

Yup Surreal is right. I too feel soo soo bad for that baby. She may end up with tons of cash, but to go through all this crap, I cant help but feel so sorry for her.

Losing her mom, brother, and having people fight over her like shes a rag doll... and not for her own well being, but for cash!

Shes gonna need tons of counseling.... Im hoping she will just grow up stronger then ever bcuz of it all. *prays
And I hope whoever does get custody showers her with love and affection.

Oh, and I cant wait to start vlogging again. Friday afternoons are really my only time to do it.. so hopefully this friday I will have a new one up.
