Cuddlebunni wrote:We understand that a lot of people are too far from LA. We do want to plan other events in other areas to be fair, but for right now we are planning this one in LA and we will see how it goes.
If it is a success, the creators may choose to have events planned in other areas.
That is why I want this one to go so smoothly, so there is oppurtunity for additional ones in the future.
I apologize CB, I'm just bummed I can't go. Hopefully this will go smooth and there will be more in the future.

Guys- I promise I'll make myself more available.
Right now-I feel you're thinking too big.
We always had a distinction between "fan parties" and "posting board parties." Fan parties were small local gatherings and the posting board party was the huge annual event.
Let's start by making that distinction here. I feel what we should be looking to pull off Aug is an LA fan party. There is no reason why anyone in Chi or NY or anywhere else can't plan their own fan party or even has to wait until August. Although I think it would be cool if there were a number of different fan parties happening around the country (or even arounrd the globe) that day. Maybe the Creators could plan an lg15 happening that day like an in character chat or something we as groups can have as a reason to get together and participate.

I dont think we are thinking "too big" anymore. At first we were, but now seeing that not too many people are local, or able to travel, we are now thinking a smaller get- together.
I am looking at smaller banquet rooms etc, for a smaller gathering as we speak.
I am going to start a running list of people who will be attending. That way we can get a good count, and I can have a list of people to send out details to and keep updated.
Please let me know if you want me to add/remove you from this list.
These are people who have responded so far:
1. Myself
2. Chersh
3. Romanceismusic
4. Onewen
5. RoseCrowley
6. Killthesmiley (Kelly you still on board?)
7. Betz
8. Sami (maybe)
9. xentis

An FYI that we may be at Comic-Con in San Diego in July. I'm not 100% sure but I'll keep you posted. If we are there then it could be possible to coordinate a "fan get together" while we are there and that way the Cast/Crew could show up.

If you dont necessarily want to open your home, maybe still offer transportion to and from the convention for these folks.
If someone could help me with things like how to get from the airport to the convention I'd be thrilled.

Sami, we'll make sure to have as much mapped out as possible from every possible point someone might come in... I'm also hoping, depending, that we might be able to do some shuttling. LA can be "interesting" for getting around...

That's great.
I'm not very used to getting around in big cities

I guess I'm just another person who thinks it's a great idea, but there is no way I'll ever be able to attend.

It's no fun living on the East Coast!

Sami, I moved away from Southern California and now live near a town that has under 5000 people. Driving down there again is gonna scare me all to bits'n'pieces!

I haven't read the posts before mine (just skimmed them) but if we do a sort of end-of-summer get together thing in LA, then I'm almost 100% sure that I can make it.
