yeah I call him the Son of Sam sometimes. He totally doesn't live by the rule of don't bite the hand that feeds. He does run by bitings, or just out of the blue bitings, or simply because he wants a treat bitings. He is horrible. The vet even requests that I tranquilize him before I bring him to the office.
wow.. have you had him since he was a kitten? I'm sorry, but the idea of 'run-by' bitings is , to me, hilarious, no offense!
yeah, I've had him since he was 8 weeks old and weighed only 2 pounds.

"Run by bitings!!" WOW!!

I had a very difficult cat.

I took her to the humane society to be "adopted." I was assured she would be.

Well, then they called on my cell phone and said, "Uhm.. We're sorry, but your cat is too hissy. She's not adoptable. We'll be putting her to sleep tomorrow."

I said, "No, you will not be!!"

I went on Craigslist.com. I posted one time. A slew of animal rights activists came to fight over my cat. One of them took her home and e-mailed, thrilled with her beautiful "prize!"

Heather, he sounds like my son's cat... he brought her home when she was a kitten... all of his friends would come over and wrestle with her and play... which made her nutty... so now she's his attack cat!

Thanks Gypsy!

I know you will feel intense relief when your current project is over. People do not realize how working for oneself is so much more intense and demanding than working for someone else.

If an employer said, "You will often work 60-80 hrs per week. Some weeks, you may not even get paid," you would laugh and storm out the door.

Anyway, I'm transferring all I do over to a business entity. I'll just get a check in the mail from now on.. happy happy joy joy!!

Oh yeah, Marbella.... until taking on these two businesses, I had NO CLUE how demanding it could all be. All I can say is thank god for this place and everyone here... you guys all help me retain what little sanity is left during a work day!

Gypsy, I was told when I started that 80% of new businesses go in the red the 1st year. It just takes an incredibly determined person to keep perservering over that "hump" before success sets in.

Cloud.. Hey! You might be right.

I said what I did to Gypsy because I think it takes a load of stress off to realize that if you stay in the "hole" for a while, you are normal. Still, there is also just so much to do when your business is new, and you have to wear ALL the hats. You have to be like a person with 8 octopus heads!!!

I'm glad you are still here, Cmdr!!

just cause I've learned incredibly much about dogs and dog psychology from Ceasar Milan and cause I love riddles.. (such as why does your cat misbehave?!) I googled attack cats and got this.. which, to me, anyway, made sense..

If nothing else, it's interesting reading for a cat lover! (myself.. as an apartment dweller, I've had cats all my life... my pups now are my first ones!)

Heather, I do feel bad for you about the cat. You can do what I did, though. Drop the cat off at the so-called "Humane Society." When you receive notice that he/she is on deathrow, post on line where animal rights activists will see it and save your cat. Hell, you'll have half of PETA there in the morning!!

I couldn't give him up Marbles. He's been my buddy/confident/ best friend for 6 years now. I've lost many a beau over that cat.
