If not with Tachyon... then where? with who? The order????
Possibly the Order, but I can't say for sure. The Vernal Equinox is coming up. See the thread on Crowley and the Vernal Equinox under "Her Religion".
Oh alright thanks...

I getting a feeling a few people here are really conflicted about this Vid!
Seriously, I don't think I've seen so many different opinions in this few pages before.
So, my 2 cents as well:
I love that they combined the Tachyon thing with a ninja-style secret training camp type thing... I'm so picturing her as a Kill Bill Uma type character right now...
And Bree? Is being typical Bree as far as I can see. She's somewhere where she doesn't think she's performing very well, and so she sulks: kinda reminds me of the skateboarding video.
She's never very interested unless she's the best at something, now she's finding this challenging and out of her comfort zone, so out come the "I'm so bored" and "Tachyon will get angry if I don't take it seriously" rolling the eyes, childish type comments.
Bree
is childish... but that's just her way of dealing with things she doesn't otherwise deal with very well. As others have said, typical teenager.
If I were Tach, and been through what we can only imagine she's been through to become the way she is, I'd be short with Bree too, she'd be royally p-ing me off for
not taking her situation uber-seriously.
Anyway, these thoughts aside, loved vid (as I love them all)... I guess they can't all be cliff-hangers![/i]

You're
really into this vernal equinox thing, aren't you?
I don't know... I was waiting for it last year and got all excited and then... nothing. Not getting my hopes up this time until I see it happen

God I hope she isn't really with Tachyon. I don't care where she is, but not Tachyon's Magic Village!
Way to gay up the story even more.
I'm going to go hide in the fan spin-offs where it doesn't reek of wasted potential.
(Wow, that was an angry post. I surprised myself.)

Whoa. I think your're onto somethin, longlostposter. Out there in the Oaks, she's in a sacred grove. This may not be the best reference link, but I think it gives you an idea of what I'm thinking . . . I googled sacred grove - Crowley, and got this:
Babalon Rising Festival - June 15 - 18 2006 - French Lick,
INEnochian World of Aleister Crowley by Aleister Crowley, Lon Milo Duquette, ...
She is an Elder and High Priestess of the Circle of the Sacred Grove

Jane? Why so angry? I kind of like the idea of an anti terrorist camp thing. Im interested in why it would disappoint you so much.

Couldn't all three of them use some "bad-ass" training. Why just Bree?

This pretty much sums up how I feel as well. Except I do think we give teen-agers short shrift when we say Bree is acting like a typical teen whenever she misbehaves or gets whiney. Bree is acting like Bree because that is her personality. Her personality is still developing so one hopes she wont be such a princess by age 20
BUT her whininess is just not typical of most teens I know.
I teach teen-agers and I know a lot of 14-17 year olds. Granted I work in a blue collar immigrant neighborhood but I don't buy that middle class teens are so very different. And before you say that my students haven't been through what Bree has been through, I would like to mention that I have students who have gone through incredibly difficult things and somehow just pick up the broken pieces and continue. I have seen both boys and girls do this. And yes, I am talking things like being suddenly orphaned, homelessness etc. Not that it isn't painful or upsetting for them and not that it doesn't change them, just that they deal with life's harsh realities in a strong mature way that I admire.
You are right that Bree is who she is and her whininess is consistent with what we know of her personality. You are right that she is gradually changing and we need to be patient since this series is written in real time. BUT I think we are being very unfair to teens in general when we say that Bree is at all typical. I've just personally known too many non-whiney teen-agers in rough life situations for me to agree with that generalization.
We also have a lot of teens who post and lurk in these forums and IMO none of them are like Bree.

Just curious, but does any else find the line (It went something like this, not sure of the exact words)
"
I just wanted to show you all that I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, (whispers)
at least not yet!" a little weird?????

*I think I read all of the posts but I might have missed a page, so please forgive me if someone has already addressed this.

This probably just seems whiny, but I don't think this feels like Tachyon. She had to be organized in her own way, of course-- to plant a corpse obviously takes organized work-- but CAMPS? I don't know, I'm probably completely alone in this, but it doesn't feel right.
Her wit, her generally aloof, sarcastic badass...ness... it just doesn't... I don't know.
Maybe it's NOT Tachyon. Just a thought, but it did seem like Bree was being almost try-hard in repeatedly mentioning Tachyon and what they were doing together.
Maybe BD&J just want us to THINK that she's with Tachyon.
I hope. Oh, how I hope that is the case.
I think I should really say though, that Bree really didn't particularly bother me in this video-- I'm kind of indifferent to her personality at this point. I mean, I would have been poking jabs at Tachyon too, if she's turned into some crazy lumberjack ninja. It's really just this direction in Tachy's personality that really really bothering me...
I don't know-- Sami said it really well-- she was cool, setting things on fire... I just imagined her like a different kind of badass, a more practical, clever, quick thinking, technology-based kind of badass-- physically fit of course, but more brains and cunning than braun.
That said, the camp really might not be as lame as I'm imagining it-- Bree might have just made it seem that way.

I would appreciate it if you would stop using "gay" as an insult.
