True enough, but I'll give you the flip arguement. Why did Daniel have to edit (with help) and post Jonas' video? Jonas would probably have loved to co-edit this with Tachy, and learn a few tips. Why didn't they show us Jonas climbing out to safety? Why did he delay Bree (and thus everyone behind) by handing her the camera?Renegade wrote:...

This seems to prove that unless Lucy's legs unexplainedly fell out from beneath her, she reached Jonas at the same time, or just after, he handed the camera to Bree.

She would have reached Jonas about 3 seconds after the last frame they showed us, just enough time for Daniel to escape.
Oh btw, I went and noticed the transcript in the LGPedia was updated, and then I checked again that last thing Bree says, and I suppose she might have said "Jonas, put down the camera, and help him!" instead of what I was hearing, "Jonas, put down the camera, f**k it!"

I'm wondering - so what if Lucy gets to the top of the stairs and pulls Jonas? I think he can take her one on one and definitely could escape her long enough to get into a helicopter.
I mean she might have a stun gun or a gun with her but she would probably have used that already.
Even if there was a struggle, he probably got out of it. Seemed the other "stooges" weren't close enough to help her out. She could totally take Bree but I think Jonas can handle himself.
I also seemed like Tachyon's part was almost like it was setting up a future drop with all the focus on the oil fields. But you know what, I am extremely rarely right. haha.

There has been a lot of speculation... "It'll be okay", something with "OpAphid", something to do with the plan, warning him about the bomb, "Don't worry, it'll be all right," even "There's pizza and ice cream on the top floor"islandlove wrote:did anyone figure out what bree said to daniel?

I'm probably missing a lot of theories in that little list!

Didnt Daniel mention Tachyon in one of his videos? Something about advice? so then wouldnt Oppy know they have been in contact?janesalteredstates wrote:Why wouldn't they underestimate her? She had done nothing but whine and run. Plus, Tachyon was in Fiji last anyone knew. Op had no idea that Tach and Bree knew one another. That doesn't exactly seem like they were thinking ahead. Maybe they thought that Bree's programming was still in place enough that she wouldn't resist a deacon nor go back on her word. What if the whole "Parallax" story arc is about OpAphid continually giving Bree second chances and Bree continually resisting until they realize that it's futile? And then they will have no choice but to 'D in Aphid' her.
Everything can be broken. Especially a thing that goes to such lengths to put on airs.

Oh, I can't decide if he's okay or not! I want the next video. It will (or, should) answer this!deagol wrote:True enough, but I'll give you the flip arguement. Also, a flashbomb temporarily blinds and dazzles you, so that allowed Bree time to flee.cosmicdancer wrote:As Eddie Izzard once said, "the best element of attack is the element of surprise!"girlAnachronism wrote:Okay so one thing that's been bugging me is how easy it was for Bree to get away. And boy, I bet they were surprised. Heh.
As for the practically inaudible part at the very end of the video, Bree says "Jonas, put down the camera they're coming!"

well, back at Jonas' place, weren't there a whole lot of boxing trophies and the like?
I'd like to *think* that means he could take on one little blonde woman, even if only to pop her in the sunglasses with a nice right hook.
Then again, if she had a gun, as was speculated by the whole hand-toward-the-waistband discussion, that'd be a wee bit of a dealbreaker on that one, too.
I suppose we wait for more information to know for sure.

It was in the Homeless vid I just checked and he mentions getting messages from her.I don't know... what video might that be in? I can't remember anything like that, but I don't have the best memory for these things.

The flash bomb's noise combined with the bright light could have scared them into thinking there was an actual explosion/bomb.
Bree knew what was going to happen and so that's why she was able to break away immediately.
However they were wearing sunglasses, so I'm not sure why they were as far behind as they appeared to be. She had enough time to jump out of the elevator and get a good lead on the stairs.
Maybe they are just really in shape compared to lucy

The others may have went after Tach, because she seems to be more of a threat to the Order than Bree and her friends.
Also, isn't it possible that Jonas had the camera on zoom? Maybe Lucy was further down that she appeared?
Lastly, wouldn't Lucy and her crew notice another girl there? Tachyon must have been hiding somewhere. Hmm..
Oh, and either Jonas (the character) is a great actor, or Bree didn't tell him about this plan. Maybe that could also explain his being far behind and totally confused.

Oh, looks like a severe flash bomb can have huge effects on the non-sunglass wearing population:
The Flash Bomb emits a bright light stunning anyone standing near and looking into the flash. Ignition is done by a burning match (part of the device) which is pressed into the bomb, explosion will result five seconds later.
The bomb is designed with an outer and inner metal shell filled with different explosives. The inner shell is porous with several bore holes.
Components Outer metallic shell with normal gunpowder and inner metallic shell with magnesium enhanced filling; starting match Cost 60$
Science Physics/Chemistry
Malfunctions - -
Minor No flash, only a wisp of smoke.
Major One-sided ignition, rolling and spinning the gizmo in a random direction, flashing wildly.
Catastrophe Flash bomb explodes in the user's face, blinding her for 1d4 days, cognition checks based on sight are permanently reduced by -1. Damage is 2d8 to the hand holding it.
If Tachyon made a strong bomb it coulda definitely taken out the other 3 leaving only lucy able to keep it together, haha.
