Hey guys -- I just posted this in the vid thread a few hours ago, and I think it bears repeating:

It's generally NOT a good idea to post a phone number in the forum unless you KNOW Its the right number. I know that this one is supposedly disconnected, but you never know when it might be in use. And remember, these posts stay around. So even when we're done with this thread, someone might lurk and try the number weeks afterwards.

I'm not saying don't try to find a phone number, just be careful which ones you post. I speak from experience. We've posted wrong numbers before and have made some people in California very irate with 100+ wrong number calls.

I mentioned this elsewhere... Anyone else thikn it is wierd that a "Regular" of a bowling alley bar is more than a days drive away from the Bowling Alley?

That's not a bad idea. And if the Creator-trons are making dvds for LG15 they can put something like that in bonus features.

It depends on what kind of a regular he is. For example, he might be a Friday night regular (coming in after payday), in which case it's perfectly reasonable that he lives a long way. If this guy really does live way up in the mountains, this might be the closest bar to his house. Nothing in the video indicated anything to me except that the bartender recognized the guy as someone who came in regularly.

As a former bartender, many of our regulars only came in once a week, but did so for years on end. And, sadly enough, I could probably still tell you where some of them live.

Actually, the stencils were FCC, not FFC.

I found this bit of nothingness awhile ago, http://opaphid.org/, and was waiting on posting about it in hopes that it would be developed.

Alas, it hasn't and I doubt it ever will be. Could be someone was thinking about gamejacking and gave up on the idea.

I find it interesting that the site was last edited on Nov 21st, the day after Canon Day.

Though what you are suggesting would have the potential of being fun a la TLE and Hanso, I don't think it will ever happen, nor does the game really need it. The ARG has been amazing up until the current drought, primarily using YT. The PMs really don't need anything flashy to give us an exceptional game.

They do, however, need to give us a game to play.
Throwing us a little ID bone isn't exactly going to satisfy when you're used to porterhouse steaks.

Mountain Man, the local who lives over a day away, sits on a stool nearby.

Daniel: Girls suck, I hate them all.
Mountain Man: No luck tonite huh?
Daniel: All I wanted was to hook up with some random girl to forget about this other girl.
Mountain Man: Oh yeah, well there's a place up in the mountains where you might be able to take care of that.
Daniel: All I have is $20.
Mountain Man: More than enough. I'll drive.

When they finally get there, Daniel has sobered up a bit, enough to actually see what $20 bucks will get him.

sphinx, that page is interesting. For just a black page, the code in the page source has stylesheet info. I'm thinking it's just a generated page....but still weird. At any rate, though, the page was last edited on November 21st. Bummer.
