Well, in the latest voicemail message for the 213#, brother talks about finally hooking up the computer that Tachy got him last Christmas, and that he found an AOL CD. Also that he would be online "in the next day or so". Then he talks about the "any" key crap and talks about calling tech support.romanceismusic wrote: wait...back up.... after you found out her brother was using aol?
Also, in a PM from OpA, she told me:
You should have heard the tech support call he did make. 90 minutes of the most idiotic questions before realizing he could indeed hit "any key," although I still don't think he has determined that he needs to hook up a phone line to the computer. It was like a painfully real version of "Who's on first?"
I would have posted it but someone else got the same message and put it on the OpA Email thread.
So anyway, I added Tachyon and Brother that day, and it's pretty much been a dead end, just like the PMs and VMs I've left for them.
eSigh

Several authors used the nom de plume Carolyn Keene to write the Nancy Drew mysteries.
The book at the drop was written by a contemporary women's corporate guru. She was utilizing Nancy Drew's maxims as a lighthearted way to inspire women.
Although I don't personally possess a copy, it was apparently written in 2002. The Nancy Drew mysteries that are marked in the book were all written as, for lack of a better term, "the original series."
Here is the website I pulled for my research:
http://nancy-drew.mysterynet.com/nancyd ... ests.shtml
I am not concentrating on the maxims themselves; they seem to be a dead end to me. I am instead concentrating on their number based on the publishing date for the books that each maxim was taken from. There are 56 books in the original series. The only one that wasn't marked as being quoted from was number 3.
I will follow with a posting of the list numerically.
You know, this would sort of parallel OpaPhid's puzzle for the voice mail that had the numbers from the Egyptian book of law or whatever it was.
Both of them would sort of be "guides to live by" type of things. One from a religious viewpoint; the other, from the viewpoint of a spy or investigator.
Kind of interesting...

to me this ties in with the clue that "Opaphid is one of ?"
Opahid is one of many or one of three, whatever you want to insert there.
So there are other entities that Tachyon is trying to point us towards.
Maybe Tach is saying that there is someone watching Opaphid, and we should find out who that is .

I think this means Thelema is one of the religions that the order has their hands in.

i'm wondering if it's jsut a retorical (? sp?) question.TheChessboardWoman wrote:Op's profile says HI WE CANT WAGER which is WE ARE WATCHING. So, I don't think they are 'the watchers.' I think they are the 'watching.' IE 'Who is watching the watchers?'
Maybe?
Edit - Basically, I think she's answering the question.
In the video Tach is obviously being followed/watched. The display of the similar town cars are there for a reason. I know they aren't the SAME car as "On The Run", but they are sooo similar. It's the same type of car, just different windows and hubcaps. easy enough t change on your own.
I think she is saying
we originally were watching them,
now they are watching us,
we are running now
who is watching them?

YOU: Who does that KTS think she is? Total bitch!
ME: I think I'm you, only better.

That could be to assist her "brother", who seems to be "special", in finding it.Jewelybug wrote:I was thinking the same thing. I mean tachs video couldnt have been easy if shewould have just typed every single instructions out in words.sphinx wrote:Is it just me, or did this all seem too easy?
Or to assist those of us who wear hats, since it took 3+ hrs the last time to find the drop

That Wikipedia article proves convenient once again:TheChessboardWoman wrote:Op's profile says HI WE CANT WAGER which is WE ARE WATCHING. So, I don't think they are 'the watchers.' I think they are the 'watching.' IE 'Who is watching the watchers?'

Edit - Basically, I think she's answering the question.
So, in Socrates/Plato's view (and perhaps Op's), "the watchers" and those "watching" them would be the same group.Wikipedia wrote:The question is put to Socrates, who will guard the guardians? or, who will protect us against the protectors? Plato's answer to this is: they will guard themselves against themselves. We must tell the guardians a noble lie. The noble lie will inform them that they are better than those they serve...
I think Tachyon is against this solution (see the US separation of powers concept), as she considers pics of a 3rd party (Daniel) watching the watchers (the Order) as something significant enough to send a message (drop) about it.

Also War Agent Kindeagol wrote:TAKE WARNING anagrams to:
WAR AGENT INK
I know Op shot that down last time, something like Tach didn't have that much time in her hands. But this morning my 7-year-old nephew came to me with this little toy flashlight and showed me this secret message he had written with an invisible ink marker. I'm sure those toy kits can be bought in any dollar store. Maybe Tach does read the forums and picked up the idea here?
Does the book say anything about invisible ink? I understand parts of the book deal with sleuthing tricks.
Maybe the password for the file is written somewhere in the book or the postcard.

The book
So here is my two cents on the book that was found.
Some of the items were ment to amuse us. Some of the passages were actually marked to help us with future clues such as the morse code and lat and long ones.
I don't think we can read much into it now, but maybe later we may need it.
Thus the note about leaving it behind....(not needed right away)... but we may need it
