I was visiting Inuks people in the great north and we went hunting and they showed me everyhting they do with the seals!

long distance can be hard.....
may i ask why he is worried about what people will think?
i say screw what other people think. as long as you and him have the same feelings for each other then who cares!
other people are overated.

what is he being honored for??

We were coworkers before we started dating, and our boss gave him a LOT of grief about me being in love with him (she was a really heinous @#$^). The rumor mill in that section of my campus is really vicious, and we'd rather not be fodder for it. (Especially cause he's applying for a promotion in that same area.)

We're also trying to take things slow, because we don't want our friendship to suffer because we're dating.

I agree with you totally Cloud! (But at the same time, I'll respect what he wants...to a point.)

He's getting what's equivalent to a distinguished service award, or a lifetime achievement award. It's a pretty big honor.

um.. SA.. perhaps if he picked his head up and ignored all the gossips.. he might rise above them? Seems to me concern for these peoples' opinions only give them more weight, no?
