Balloons!

One upon a time there was a family of balloons... Mummy balloon, Daddy Balloon and Baby Balloon. It was a cold and stormy night and baby balloon was to scared to go to bed.
"Come on son" said Daddy balloon. "You're a big boy now, it's time you slept in your own bed."
"But Daddy", said Baby Balloon, "It's scary, the wind keeps banging the trees against my window and I think the monsters are trying to get inside out of the cold".
"Come on son, go to bed" said Daddy Balloon, "Show me what a big boy you can be"
Baby Balloon went to bed but only lasted ten minutes before he was at the foot of his parents bed.
"Daddy, Daddy" Said Baby Balloon. "Please can I snuggle up to you tonight? The monsters are trying to get in"
"No Son," said Daddy Balloon, "You're a big boy now, there's no room in here for you"
Baby Balloon went back to bed and managed to last a whole twenty minutes before he was back shivering at the foot of his parents bed.
"Mummy..." Whispered Baby Balloon, "Mummy.... are you awake?"
There was no reply.
Baby Balloon thought to himself for a moment and then tried to quietly squeeze in between Mummy and Daddy Balloon.
His Dad was right, there was no room for him. "What can I do now?" he though to himself...
"I know", he thought...." I'll just let a little air out of Mummy"
So he did, he untied the knot at the bottom of his Mum and let a little air out, then tied her back up again quickly so she didn't die.
He tried again to get in between his parents, but there still wasn't enough room.
"I know", he thought...." I'll just let a little air out of Daddy"
So he did, he untied the knot at the bottom of his Dad and let a little air out, then tied him back up again quickly so he didn't die.

"What do I do now?" he thought "there's still no room for me."

Finally he managed to squeeze in between his parents and smiled and went to sleep.
Morning came and Daddy Balloon woke up first, he was very angry, very angry indeed.
He woke Baby Balloon up with a start.
"Son!" He shouted. "Look at us! I"m very angry with you... " He looked at his wife and son and said,...
"You've let your Mother down, you've let your Father down and worst of all you've let yourself down!!!"

Yes, relax, everything's fine... Daddy balloon gets the pump from the garage and they all go to a parade and it's all forgotten about by the afternoon.
