crazy awkward story

how long will it take
until i alienate
someone who once was a freind
long ago

i've said three words
that you've never heard
pessimist, secular, humanist
i do hope you aren't stupid

ask me to dance?
this isn't your chance
are you aware
that you're here with a girl?

did i mention?
this was not my intention
i'm not that mean
and i'm not that malicious
(have you heard that one?)

i was just having fun
and the true one
that i want
didn't even show up

your "date" doesn't care
she says it's the blonde hair
that you have a thing for
and she doesn't mind

she told me
that she could see
what you saw in me

i still say no
you'll have to let go
i won't do this to her
ive done enough damage.

Will Ginny be your love?
Or will it be another,
Whom we’ve heard you speak of?

Of the people you know,
Who will be spared?
Will it be some we loathe,
Or some who we cared?

Has everyone died,
Who has died once before?
Or was it a trick,
With answers galore?

Who is R.A.B?
Is it Sirius’s brother?
Are we correct,
Or is it another?

Who’s side is Snape on?
Is he a traitor?
Or was this all planned,
By someone much greater?

What does it mean,
That your eyes are the same,
As your mother’s were before
She was murdered by He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named?

Where are the horcruxes,
That you so earnestly seek?
Will you be able to destroy them,
Or does the outlook look bleak?

Will Ron and Hermione,
Finally get together?
Will they live together in happiness,
Or argue forever?

Will Bill Weasley be cursed,
From an untransformed bite?
Or will he be free from
A werewolf’s awful plight?

Petunia has a secret.
What can it be?
Is it something quite awful,
Or something filled with glee?

What is the meaning,
Behind the word “hallow”?
Is it a word we use now,
Or one that will follow?

If the last word is “scar”
What does this mean?
Do we know all about it,
Or will someone come clean?

Is the locket from Grimmauld
A horcrux indeed?
Does it lead to R.A.B.
Or did we misread?

What are you wearing
About your neck on the cover?
Is it the enigmatic locket,
Or something to be discovered?

One thing’s for sure,
Tear-stains will appear on my pages
I’ll be overwhelmed with the answers
I’ve been awaiting for ages.

Thanks Les! I worked pretty hard on it. Actually...that's a lie. It took me probably about an hour to write it. My best poetry I find comes very quickly to me.

lol I'm actually the same way, just short burst inspired by muses and visions

most my poetry is the same way. I tried ''taking it slow'' and coming up with the perfect line, but it's too hard to get back into that feeling of when I wrote it the first time...

This was my epitaph... but... yea... poetry...



Such an avid dreamer, a believer…
one who always tried to never give up hope…
even in the darkest of nights…
light was to be seen in his eyes…

dreams into visions, misty apparitions…
a faint laugh, and a soft goodbye…
f**k… that’s all that can be said…
that’s all that’s in my head…
f**k!... shouting it loud..
As I’m cursing at the clouds…
Heaven’s teardrops…
Warmth pours down my face…
and hair pokes my eyes…
knees give out…
no more words come out of my mouth…
nothing more needs to be said…
the heart dies first, and then the head…
Darkness consumes all the living light…
Not so easily, down without a fight…
Strength gives out…

To be aware, each man is a brother
Words of laughter he also spoke
A silly song or a happy joke
Time runs along, some say I'm wise
that I look at life with seeing eyes
My heart is happy
My mind is free

And we banish the garnish to our plate's holding pen,
We blanch hungry skin with greedy paws,
Shake excess moisture into a voracious funnel.
We marinate and baste in succulent juices,
Our contentment the secret ingredient we hold sacrosanct,
We beat tough meat to abiding submission
By order of our doubled wills.

O! the hiss and sizzle of searing joy,
The braising of rising wonder and madness,
The crazy deep-fried rapture, the dollops of sweetness,
A pinch of lust, dash of abandon, cupping splendid form,
Teasing glimpses through colander dreams
Of early earthy earthly light and brilliance,
The issue, the klaxon from pressure cooker throats!

Boil my need to a caramelized satisfaction,
And cook my drive, my heart and soul, al dente.

When I reach out after I stumble, I'm expected to pick myself up out of the rubble.
Wipe off the dirt, no matter how deep the blood soaked thru,
There's only one person I need to trust and that's supposed to be you.
I don't ask for help from no one else, I can do it myself,
but on those rare occasions that I need someone, I stumble into the rubble again.
