Hmmm... everyone talked about not seeing recoil in that video... like it was a cap gun. But wouldn't shooting blanks cause recoil like real bullets....? You're still igniting gun powder... Or is recoil caused by the bullet separating from the casing and not just the gun powder exploding?

The recoil is caused by the bullet leaving the barrel of the gun. Newton's law.

I've never fired a blank .22 cal but an actual .22 round doesn't have much of a recoil when fired due to the small amount of gunpowder. A blank would be almost negligible.

For info's sake, .22 caliber pistols have been used as assassin weapons due to their small frames and are very silent (when combined with a silencer).

That explains why I thought the "shot" sounded so quiet. I thought it was just a cheap cap gun... sorry :?

Didn't realize just how cool and realaistic you were trying to be!

Wouldn't those be automatics though? Revolvers are difficult to silence because of their more open design.

So did you like think you realy needed to explain about the gun for health n saftey or something so you planted this question to ensure it was answered? At least thats what i asume it was for. Also i suppose her video was the first to drop jasons full name suppose that second question caught you off gaurd.

I'm from Long Island. I don't think I've ever personally even seen a gun. What the hell is recoil? :?

It's the kickback produced when a gun is fired.
