Ah, I see. In that case, I pretty much agree. I still say Alex set them up, whether she felt guilty about it or not, so there's not really much of value she could've said.

i could be wrong but, i wouldn't be surprised to find that you were bluffing, jonas. the aggressive and careless manner in which you wielded the piece, would only make sense if you were using a dummy gun and needed all that extra hysteria to be convincing.
if it was real, seriously get training and always keep your trigger finger alongside the gun until ready to fire.
but i'm guessing, good bluff.

jonas, after reading everyone else's comments, i think you did the right thing in bringing that gun.

on the other hand, your reaction was completely ludicrous.

if you're going to handle something like that, you need to do two things;
1) learn how to use it. i'm not sure if you know how to shoot a gun, or if you've had any practice, but if you're going to carry it, you'd better learn.
2) and i can't stress this enough, STAY CALM. if you freak out again [like you just did], someone could end up dead. even if it's a member of the order, killing needs to be a last resort.

kill not when maiming is enough,
maim not when wounding is enough,
wound not when hurting is enough,
hurt not when holding is enough,
hold not when speaking is enough,
and speak not when listening is enough.

Balmung, I know you are Jonas' biggest supporter, and you were right about him not being evil (congrats); but yes, I would say Jonas is cracking under the stress. However, I hope you don't stop supporting him. I have also falling in love with him.

However, if he ever hurts DB, I will take his gun from him, and shot his sorry ass with it.

At this point, I cant blame him for getting a gun.

After being scared, made afraid of being in your own home, kidnapped and tied up by the people you're trying to help, betrayed by your only living family member, chased down, kidnapped again with your friends, drugged and psychologically tortured, running through the desert for your life...

His reaction was absolute terror. HE was terrified.

And as far as listening to Alex??? Are they in the position to be giving second chances to people who have already tried to completely screw them over?

Im glad you got took control Jonas. Please be careful and learn how to use the gun, clean the gun, load the gun...etc..

It was obvious to me that you have not trained with a gun. My stand on gun control is not at issue here, your actions are. Balmung's quote (I've heard it before, but I can't remember where. Balmug?) is salient. You didn't listen to Alex. Having a gun in the glove compartment sent you straight from seeing the cars to screaming at Alex about treachery. Where did you listen to her to find out if she sent them? Are you absolutely sure that was the way they found you? Did you ask?

Your temper is quick to fire. Once it does you rarely listen to reason. And for the record: Guns don't kill people. People with hair trigger tempers and easy access to lethal devices kill people.

It's slightly modified from a book called Lord Foul's Bane, by Stephen R. Donaldson. It's the first book in the double trilogy called The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, The Unbeliever [aka The White Gold Wielder]. It's the Oath of Peace.

A verbose title, I know lol.

p.s. An amazing read, though the vocabulary makes it slow for me. Not for the faint of finger. [for flipping through a dictionary lol]

Well I to can see why he got a gun. But I don't know..with them two drinking(more Daniel now) it worries me.Plus the anger that everyone is feeling, it could get worse now that they are staying in a little bunker. I mean what if one of them overract when drunk? It could become very dangerous. I think Bree should be the one to hold onto the gun, because we know she isn't one to get drunk. Just to be on the safe side.

I thought it looked familiar. Love his writing style. Hated the books. (We used to call it "Thomas the Winer series") If you want to struggle with vocabulary, read "Repent, Harelquin, Cried the Tick Tock Man." or "Shatterday". Oy.

I Think the verse is profound and insightful. And wish you'd take it to heart, Jonas.

Jonas, don't beat yourself up, OK? You were under a lot of stress and pressure and your protective instincts took over. You were betrayed twice by Alex and that hurts a lot. I've come to like you more and more. You've shown more depth as I have continued to watch you in your videos. Your passion is amazing! So, hang in there. I'm worried about your pal, Daniel though. At least I hope there is no alcohol in the bunker!

I agree. They should get rid of the gun, and get some poison darts and nunchucks.

Consideration, I nominate you for president (oh, and the president gets to write the LGPedia page).

Any seconds on the nomination?
