Hey! I like that idea! Picture it: Alex has been found out by Jonas. (in "Alex is...") The boys leave so she calls the Order to tell them the problem. The Order immediately wants to bring Bree in until the time for the ceremony comes and just kill off her companions.DoktorBob wrote:Crazy Idea: She made a deal with the Order to leave Jonas alone if she worked for the Order.
Alex likes Daniel and loves her nephew so she says to the Order, "If I put the fear of God into these children, scare them into rethinking their position, you gotta leave Jonas alone."
The Order agrees, so Alex puts on a pretty well acted scene which we were party to. The order breaks their agreement when they pick up the three and interrogate them.
Alex hears about this and is pissed. She contacts the Order and gives them holy hell. It's at this point that Jonas peeks in and overhears her (the italics) but let me give you a possible other side(Bolded)
I don't know what you're so angry about, your plan didn't work. We had to take firmer action. And that action worked, right?
Yes, they called me.
So the plan worked.
No, because--
Are you telling me they're not sitting on your doorstep like little puppies? Of course they are. So what do you care if we had to work a little chemical magic?
I do care because it's a violation of free will and you know...
I know we haven't stepped out of the letter of the principles. Have you forgotten them?
I know the principles, do you want me to recite them for you?
Then what are you upset about?
I didn't know you were going to do anything...
You didn't know, Alex, because you didn't want to know. Don't let your little lies go upsetting you.
It's horribly upsetting, all right, I don't like lying.
You're not one of the Hymn of One any more, my dear, you've been initiated into the higher purpose.
It goes against...
It makes it possible for us to continue the ceremony with the chosen! Why the hell are you worried about two little hangers on?
because he's my nephew!...
...and he's in the way. If you don't watch it, you'll be viewed as in the way too. Now calm down and lets play this thing out, okay?
Okay
At this point Alex is convinced that if she doesn't work with BD&J, the boys are going to end up in a ditch somewhere. She decides to help them. Now Bree comes knocking at her door, screaming at her and not letting her get a word in edgewise.
This explains her coldness at her American home as well as her change of heart now. It gives purpose to the abduction scene without bringing in any new players. So what do you think?
