ooooh, sticky fingahs!!!

I'm doing okay. The finger is out of the bandages, but still stitched up. I went in to have the stitches taken out, and they said my skin was too "soft" and wasn't healing well enough because it was being kept wrapped with neosporin on it (you know, like exactly what they TOLD me to do, although apparently I had a mild reaction to the ointment that made it a bit swollen) and that I had to keep it open to the air, with the stitches in, until Monday. So I just have this lovely spider leg look going on

It's already annoying me, because they get caught on things since they're all pokey and stuff *sigh* I was just ready to be done with it, but looking at it I understand that it's not closed enough yet. It's kinda sore too, but that could be because I'm trying to move it a bit more, and it's right over the joint.

So, I forgot how much I missed this forum, and it'll remind me even more with you around! *hops up into her arms*

Yeah, you can call me Rae.
Last Monday I was cutting some sausage (dirty!) and they were new knives, and went through faster than I expected, and stupid me had my hand under it and sliced myself pretty good. I got 5 stitches and had a big bandage and splint for a week. Plus it was my middle finger, so I was flipping off everyone all the time

ouch that sounds painful! i did the same thing when i was little, and ever since my mom cringes when i use a knife.

Yeah, the first thing I said was "my mom would be laughing her butt off right now." When I called to tell her (since I'm still technically on her insurance and figured she'd want to know in case there was a coverage problem) she asked if she even needed to say "I told you so"

But she did the whole "grab the lid edge of a just-opened can" thing a few years ago, so she couldn't say too much. Although she didn't hit muscle, so I win for severity
