Why the order must know the location of Jonas' home.
Jonas has recently made us all aware that he has hosted friends from the local area at his home. Specifically, he mentioned that his former drinking buddies from the bowling alley visited his home for "keggers."
Now, I am sure that the order is listening. Since they are also aware of the location of the bowling alley, it stands to reason that they would ask around. I'm sure they could find some of Jonas' old friends easily. It would be a simple matter to get one or two of them drunk enough to spill the beans.
In fact, I believe this is the real reason that he and Bree have had to go on the road. I'm sure Jonas found out that people have been in the bowling alley asking questions.

great theory. i think you're absolutley right. are you saying, though, that daniels dissapearance was planned amongst the 3 of them? That Daniel never truly went 'missing', and instead headed off to some undisclosed location to give bree & jonas a legit. excuse to leave the house? Or do you think that Daniel was really kidnapped, and they just aren't planning on going back to the house?

I'm simply saying that the evidence available shows that the order would have to be very inept not to have the location of Jonas' home.sskylaarr wrote:great theory. i think you're absolutley right. are you saying, though, that daniels dissapearance was planned amongst the 3 of them? There isn't enough evidence for me to make any determination about why Daniel has disappeared.
But the evidence clearly indicates that Jonas knows that they have been asking about him. He can't have mistaken Nikki Bower asking about him as order activity either, as he is a subcriber to her YouTube page. I can't tell whether or not he has informed Bree.

I agree that the order should definitely know where Jonas' house is by now. ( Though I am still shocked that they seemingly couldn't find even the area until now. )
And I hope you are right that Jonas got some info at the bowling alley that sent them on the road. The gotta get a hotel on our way to the "local's" house is a bit much for me.
However, I am not sure that there is quite enough evidence to go this far yet. For instance, Op could have found his house without going to the bowling alley now that she knew the area. And even though it is supsicious that Jonas mentioned that he used to hang out there a lot, there isn't a real reason to assume that they went on the road to hide from anything. At least not yet....could be that they were just taken out of the picture to make the next op video more legitimate or whatever...

Your point is well taken, but Occam's Razor applies here. To me, it seems to be the simplest way that OpAphid could acquire the information.Macabea13 wrote:However, I am not sure that there is quite enough evidence to go this far yet. You mention that Op could have found the house without going to the bowling alley. How would she do that?

I dunno used the phone book? (j/k).
My point is only that once she knew what area he was in she didn't necessarily have to go to the bowling alley to get that info....couldn't be too hard to find the kid- whose- parents- died's house in a small town. And don't forget, she didn't go to the bowling alley. She sent the ARG. So sending out another op to go there again might not be necessary.
I do agree it seems simpler to go to the bowling alley and get info, and that really ought to be some reason that Jonas mentioned his past there...and like I say I would really like it to become logical that they stayed over nigt somewhere....but it could be that Tachyon was involved, or that they really are that crazy, or that they noticed the guy in the white van and wanted to hide from him, or that they had actually made it to local guys house and found something they didn't want to disclose, that sort of thing.

Really, though, the only way that Oppy couldn't know the location of Jonas' place is if he is lying about having had friends over.
We know about the ARG retrieval, but we don't know that the order hasn't had other operatives visit the area. It's not like they would tell us.

I agree that the Order has to know where Jonas' house is by now. If nothing else, they could have just googled news papers in the general are for articles on his parents death. Disappearance at sea of apparently very wealthy couple leaving their teenage son an orphan surely would have made the bigger papers in the area. And the obits often (especially in smaller towns) often give the home address to send flowers or for visitations.
And, yes, the phone book would probably have been an even easier way to do it! What young boy thinks to get an unlisted phone number, lol!

That is a very good theory. Perhaps that would explain why they are 'taking their time' trying to find Daniel? Personally, if my friend was in danger, I wouldn't stop to rest...I would have continued further until the early hours of the morning..even if I was in danger. If Jonas knew people were asking around, I wonder why he wouldn't tell Bree, unless he is trying to protect her. *insert brother/sister theory here*
What ever happened to that girl BA?
BA Tells Lies.
Some things are secret for a reason.
There are people whose lives are dedicated to keeping them that way.

I like the brother/sister theory myself....But haven't worked out all the details in my mind yet.nobackspacebutton wrote:That is a very good theory. What about the Cowboy video makes it clear that Jonas is an informant? Interested, just don't get it.
edit to add: I see your point about Oppy having to know where Jonas lived....just not that Jonas had to be involved in giving her that info......

A couple of reasons:
1. Jonas is urging that Bree go to the police. In real life, that would be an excellent idea, but in the Breeniverse, the police are infiltrated by the order.
2. Jonas sneaks around and actually gets into "Cowboy's" van. He finds nothing. Nothing? Come on, we've all been in a working stiffs van before. There's nothing in it? Puh-leeze.
3. Jonas goes to the location where Daniel is supposed to be. He can sneak up on a van when the driver is near, but he can't sneak up to a house when the owner is away?

If he rented it (or someone rented it for him) for this "odd job" it would be empty as well.ApotheosisAZ wrote: 2. Jonas sneaks around and actually gets into "Cowboy's" van. He finds nothing. Nothing? Come on, we've all been in a working stiffs van before. There's nothing in it? Puh-leeze.
It seemed very clean and new to belong to a guy who is a regular bowling alley drinker who does odd jobs for a living anyway.
