Clues. Theories. Where do you think the story is headed?

LG surprisingly similar to ALIAS

Post by pennpeaches »

Did anyone else notice that LG is surprisingly like ALIAS?

1) Heroine in distress
2) Loved one's taken from her
3) Codes and secret missions everywhere
4) Mother decieves father and daughter
5) Daughter angry at mother, places alligance with father
6) MOST SIMILAR - The daughter was allied with The Order (same name used in ALIAS too) until she found out they were bad, now she's fighting to stop them/gain more information.

On and on it goes, within my mind.
Does anyone else see the similarities?

Alias is the only television series I have watched prior to syndication in decades! Blame my sister; she got me hooked. Anyway, no similarities btwn LG15 and Alias really jumped out at me until your message, but I think those things mentioned are kind of formulaic plot standards you could find in a number of television shows/movies of a similar genre.

Incidentally, I have seen several people on this board mention that there are similarities to "Lost". I havn't seen Lost, so I don't know about that, but it is interesting that Alias and Lost were created by the same dude. At least I think they were...
"He was killed by the usual cabal: by himself, first of all; by the woman he knew; by the woman he did not know; by the man who granted his inmost wish; and by the inevitable fifth, who was the keeper of his conscience..."

Both Alias and Lost have the puzzle qualities that lg15 has but there are just as many differences as there are similarities.

It's just like Alias...except everything is different.

Agreed. There are many movies, shows, and stories where there is a heroine in distress, loved ones dying, and clues and mysteries.
What ever happened to that girl BA?

BA Tells Lies.

Some things are secret for a reason.

Most Hollywood writing follows a formula, or it doesn't get sold. Even though it's a new medium, there's no reason to thing that The Creators aren't following a tried and true formula for this series.
