Okay, haven't posted in a while, but here's what they need to do (not necessarily in this order):

-draft a letter to the police explaining the situation as rationally as possible. Won't give away their location if they just send it from a random city mailbox; might get the police's attention, and ...

By the way did you know that everything about lonelygirl15 is fiction?

*snorfl* *wipes tea off keyboard*

Yeah, my main thought in watching this one was "Da-yum, girl's got some teeth on her". It's not only the whiteness; it's the size...

Oh, and was that really just a mis-pronunciation ...

Tips from my NZ-er roommate:

he's sure Gemma's accent is Australian, not NZ *shrug*

he's never heard of "nut kills man" or whatever as a variation of rock paper scissors

he'd pronounce the name with a soft /g/ as she does in her vid

Yea! I'm helpful. Sort of.

Good discussion, guys. Hey, Sheikh (sorry to perpetuate the OT-ness) I see your point about the King Stag etc. in Bambi -- who/what is Thumper supposed to symbolize? I have only a little background (*cough* MistsofAvalon) in this stuff.

Hey there,

great thread, guys -- I've really enjoyed reading it.

One comment/question about a slightly OT issue a coupla pages back: there was reference to <voudou> as a more "correct" spelling than <voodoo>. Seems to me, though, that these are both transliterations (attempts to represent in the ...

Except that although the age of consent in Cali is 18, elsewhere it's as low as 14 (with parental consent for marriage, which Bree would obviously have if it was Hieros Gamos). In several states Bree is of consenting age, even without p.c. I'm not saying it's palatable, but I wouldn't call it ...

Some Enochian Texts:

I looked through the first few for our word, but got bored. It may also be that she is just doing the flashcards to learn the letters, and they don't form an actual word.

Not to be nitpicky, but Order of OTO would be redundant: Ordo Templi Orientis already means "Order of the Eastern Sky/Temple/Covenant".

Not a deadly blow, though.

If you put the accent on the first syll., as most Engl. speakers would, DENDerah, the second syll. is easily syncopated so it'll sound like <dendra>. Then, as others have said, consider that her next word is "okay", so it'll sound like <dendraO>.

Or so I think.

Denderah --> Hathor --> Crowley:

"The goddess Hathor appears sporadically throughout the works of Crowley where she is usually seen as either a solar deity or as the Egyptian equivalent of Venus or Aphrodite.

Denderah:

Hmmm. Could be what she's saying.

I agree with the suggestion about "the order" being a level in the cult that Bree's parents haven't obtained yet; otherwise Bree's statement doesn't make sense.
