Honestly, I think Daniel was too "OMGOMG I'm gonna die!" too realize that it was... Would it really make sense to bring back a character that's had only two lines months ago?

If it ends up not being Alex, I'll be sad.

Then I'll get over it and be all giddy about the finale being less than a month away.

Well, I'm still sticking with my hope that it's Alex. No one else would many any sense at all, really. IMO Daniel's reaction, even if he did know it was Alex seemed normal for him. He didn't ask who the person was, which I would think you would ask first.

And I'm happy that Daniel's decided to stop ...

I think it's her. I got a HUGE 'Alex is...' vibe when she said "turn off the camera".

This video was... interesting. At least the ceremony will most likely happen at this 'season finale' date (within a month sounds around August 3rd I would say.)
