Sphinx..."hanky panky" is a term similar to "hocus pocus" means trickery...taking advantage of someone or some situation. I don't know what on earth you're referring to, but I mean it as it is defined.

I just wanted to point out that while one definition of 'hanky panky' is unethical behaviour or ...

Chixor, you have done a wonderful job staying reasonable and respecting everyone's opinions in this thread.

Having said that, all the arguments against the IRC are arguments that i have heard before and decided then were groundless. Back before this puzzle drought, the IRC was used as a great ...

I dont think panda meant "freaked out" in a negative way apo. And I dont think anyone is criticizing the way you handled the situation.

I am very sad and disappointed to return to the forum after being away for a few days to find out that some of the people I respected the most in this game will no ...

I sent this on valentine's day and just got a reply. (I dont know how to screen cap, if anyone would tell me how, I will replace this with a screen cap)

I said: Happy valentine's day! You should have stuck around with Daniel a couple more days, maybe had some fun for valentine's, if you know what i ...

But the mu is definitely mutated to fit the symbol, so I can see how the nu would be as well. If the M werent changed, then i would say no way to nu, but it was, so I think it is a definite possibility as the other letter, if not the front runner.

So the latest note from Tachyon seems to suggest that what we thought were an omicron and pi could be incorrect.

http://donwest.org/opaphid/symbol1_big.jpg

So if we're not seeing an omicron here, I'm guessing it's a phi.

And if we're not seeing a ...

Edited to point out that this theory is the product of my mind at 330 in the morning. At this hour of the day i am not to be held responsible for any outlandish theories that I may come up with.

Edited again to retract said outlandish theory.

there should be a window on the top right if it is twin dilemma, not to mention a building and other images we should see just as easily as a street light, which leads me to believe that it cannot be twin dilemma

i still am not convinced that twin dilemma is right.

And does anyone else think that maybe there is something on top of the fifth book obscuring part of the left side (I mean besides the packaging). If you look in the enlarged version, it looks like the first letter isn't connected.

Maybe there ...

Secret in old attic doesnt work, blackwood hall looks too long for that to be the fifth book, velvet mask has too much color and the lines dont line up, and i remember seeing the mysterious manniquin as not working.

The problem is that there is almost no color on the cover and the two lines of the ...

I think it definitely looks like larkspur lane to me. Too many things are similar, and if I look hard i can make out an L at the beginning of the second line.

I can't help but get the feeling that the "haiku" is a word play.
Saying "where it all starts" maybe means that we should look for the words 'it all' somewhere and then after 'it all' but before the word 'you' there will be the clue we are looking for. But I dont know where we would be looking for ...
