I agree wintermute, I think that this has been a very steep learning curve from all involved.
I am sure that they are going to take thier time to reflect on the situation before even considering moving on.
The sad part about that is in the meantime, while we all wait, the discussions continue to go ...

Unfortunately words get twisted and people speculate. Wild rumors run a muck and it creates a lot of drama and confusion.
Hopefully this is not the case, but its possible a lot of it was created as a smoke screen to distract from other issues.

I trust that the creators realize the grey area that all of this appears to be in and I am sure that they have sought out advice on how to handle it appropriately.

I think these are some great ideas, including the surveillance camera one, it would allow the involvement of the players more into the story.

Something that has been used in other args ive played is the use of live webcam feeds from public venues for player/character encounters and drops.

Not harsh at all, your emotions are shared by many of us, and these issues are things that we as a group* have been ridiculed for sharing since day one of OpAphid.

This is a great idea but only if the forums are moderated appropriately and a lot of the chatter be either moved or removed.


We'd need a whole new set of moderators, then...because the current ARG mods (well all but maybe one), to me, simply aren't capable of moderating with responsibility or ...

I would like to see that PM be not a single person but a team of people.

I would love to see the ARG characters interact on the site here rather via youtube messages.

I would also like to see that IRC is off-limits. There's no need for it to be used for game play, for any reason. Also, too many ...
