Also, I don't think Jackie is a bad actress, but I think the script/wording included some vocab and phrases that you wouldn't really use in everyday conversation, only when writing. It made it sound quite unnatural and rehearsed, but I don't think it had anything to do with her acting ability.

Its also possible that Gemma's videos are a plant by the Order to keep Bree submissive and fearful of what might happen if she refuses to go through with the ceremony. She may not be living 'independently' at all and still be very much a part of the community.

You don't have to be super religious to be a mason, my boyfriends father is one and my boyfriend will probably be one too someday, and they are not religious at all.

I like the idea that this whole thing has happened already, and someone who found the videos is putting them online for whatever reason. I know it isn't true, because Daniel makes references to forum posts, but it would be a cool angle.
