(that might explain the shots, iron pills and special diet)

I think Daniel will have to contact Bree's parents, rather than Bree talking to them (which would be to insular).

1. The reason Bree had to go for a couple hours was because she was meeting with Lucy. Now, this could mean one of a couple things - 
a. Bree thought that this was one of the last times they would meet for a kind of post-ceremony wrap up before Lucy left town
b. Bree lied - and she lied to protect Daniel. She knew that they were following him, or at least on to him, and she thought that if she told Daniel that Lucy was leaving and that the ceremony stuff was all over that he'd drop it.
c. She lied - and did it maliciously.

(I think a or b is most likely)

2. Thinking about the Nut Kills Man video. I think that Gemmers is giving Bree a warning. She knows that Daniel is in danger because something similar happened to her own "Daniel" that forced her to question and leave the commune. Maybe she is trying to spare Bree the pain she went through. Now, I think it is odd that she went through so much trouble talking about this stupid squirrel-nut-man game since she only really expected Bree to remember her dog. I think it is a code, and that a person with a Nut allergy - Nut as in the Egyptian goddess - is someone outside the cult that thinks negatively of it - like Daniel. Gemmers is warning Bree to do something before it's too late, and Daniel is dead.

3. The creators like to hide clues in odd places. Now, Nut was the sky goddess who gave birth to Hathor. I think that given Bree's birthday, she is supposed to represent Hathor. That would mean that Nut represents her own mother - or more likely Bree's parents. Daniel has disliked Bree's dad from the beginning, but now he's changing his tune. I think it is a mistake. Bree's father is very powerful in the church, and I don't think he is unaware of their attitudes. I think that it is possible that Bree's family - unbeknownst to Bree - actually moved out of the commune in Nottingshire for the express purpose of Bree being able to participate in that ceremony at that location, the location seeming important and not randomly chosen. Bree said that she felt like her parents were at the ceremony - well, maybe it was because they were there - in person, not just in spirit. Since Nut is supposed to be a good goddess, however, and resurrect the dead, maybe Bree's mother - who has always seemed sympathetic to her daughter - will rebel against her husband and the church and help Bree save Daniel in the end.

My predictions! Sorry for the long post. Now, could someone run with these ideas? She has been acting out of sorts since she and daniel had the first huge fight over her religion and she claimed she wasnt going to blog anymore. That was the video BEFORE we were introduced to lucy.

I am kind of leaning towared the whole "brees parents arent as informed" as she thinks they are. When she went to the ceremony something happened that she was sworn not to mention again. She has been skitzy ever sence. Also i noticed along with that came artificial, PINK nails, which just disturb me. *ponders*

All I know is that when i first came across the series i made it a point to watch like 15+ of them all in one night just to get caught up. I sat there for hours laughing my ass off! Now, i check on them yes, bc I am interested to see where the story ends up.. mostly in hopes that daniel and bree will be civilized again and will eventually be proving science wrong once more. 

There was alot of intrigue in those earlier videos, i really enjoyed them and i have been reading the boards and others agree.

As for those who are writing and commenting about how "jessica cant act" and they need to replace daniels character with a "better looking" actor - you guys need to grow up. If you dont like it dont watch and it. There is no need to get hostile and rude.

For your #1, another possibility is that she knew they were going to send Lucy away, but that she hadn't gone yet -- and she went to see her to ask her about Daniel's photos (she said that she would see what she could find out, in her "Daniel Be Careful" vlog).

Good call on your #2.  It does seem like she was talking in code and warning Bree that Daniel is in real danger. Daniel has made it clear he's essentially "allergic to nuts" (nuts=the cult members) -- those nuts can kill him.  The motion she made is supposed to show choking, but it also reminded me of beheading.

In 3 you mention "Nut" -- I hadn't thought of that! I think you're maybe onto something there. Nut is also called Nuit, and is much-invoked in The golden Dawn and Thelema.  In Crowley's tarot -- the Thoth deck -- Atu #17, The Star, shows Nuit as the sky goddess.  The card is attributed to Aquiarius and the Hebrew letter "Heh".  In Gematria (Thelemic system of numbers with Enochian attributions), Heh's number is 5, and means "window" -- which reinforces the idea of something light can come through, and in Thelema is stands for teh 'interface' through which a connection with God can be made.

   Very Blair Witch format that I like with light hearted elements from watching Bree dancing around like a cute little girl would all the while a more serious undertone of plot lays just beneath the surface.

    I just can't get the idea out of my head that the storyline seems to be a urban contemporing reminiscent of the 1973 movie plot of the "The Wicker Man".

In this movie there is Pagan cult that plans to ultimately sacrifice a virgin but do they?  They send out a signal that causes a Scottish police officer to investigate a disappearance of a child named Rowan but instead ends up the sacrifical centerpiece.

Anyways in this Lonelygirl15 reworked and retooled version, Bree is the virgin and lures Daniel (likely also a virgin) via her innocence to investigate what happens to her.

   The Cult using her to maintain his attention and staying nearby her keeping track of him, allows them to monitor him.

   With him away from home and the protection of his parents they will report him as missing eventually, allowing The Cult to whisk him away and ultimate use him as the victim instead of Bree, which was their plans all along.

   That is the way there group operates.   Use a virgin to catch a virgin.   And the cycle continues as will Bree her Cult husband and her children will do with others. :-)

   Now this is a story, but interesting premise.  Get a virgin, sacrifice it and have it explained away as a missing persons report.

   Also would explain those shots that Bree gets as a possible hallucinogenic used doing the rituals or maybe to keep her just under the layer of mental control to be easily commanded by The Cult and make her unable to keep clear thoughts of individuality.

   Maybe she is being primed to become their Priestess and the injections are required by her faith in order for her to have her "powers" awakened and Daniel is a flea caught in their succession ritual that want to keep a watch on and make sure hey do not deflower or foul their priestess?

1. Obviously the siren bit is to warn Bree that Daniel is in mortal peril. She mentions in the community they rang a bell to warn of danger. I wonder though if the bell signified a certain specific danger...
2. I think I underestimated Bree's mom. In the past, Bree said that her mom would side with her on issues when her dad would not. I took this to signify sympathy for her daughter, but maybe it also signifies the power hierarchy of the house. Perhaps it's her mom who calls the shots and who is really more entrenched in the society. Crowly had a negative opinion of women on the whole, though he did rely on a woman for spiritual guidance in the last part of his life as he was on the verge of reconstructing his religion once again. The central characters of the religion seem to all be female: Bree, Lucy... maybe her mom is the one who really wears the pants.
3. I think it is odd that Gemma talks about feeling the community did not supported the idea of being cosmopolitan. Bree's family has moved around alot and lived a more "cosmopolitan" life than most. Also, both Bree's parents, and at least Gemma's mom, were university educated. This seems rather worldly. It seems that if Gemma hadn't left the community, she wouldn't be going to university now. It seems then that the cult is all over the world but very exclusive, and while founding members or new initiates may have enjoyed outside education, it is not something they encourage in their children. 
4. Just a couple more comments on Bree's mom. She seems very absolutist and entitled to tell people when they are wrong. She said that anyone who gets in the way of free-will (like Hume, et al) should be put down like a dog and not considered human. She also told Bree's dad off when he was talking of free will. Seems she gets really huffy about this topic. Also, she compliments Gemma's mom about her shirt after she just gave Bree's mom a great compliment on her brazenness. Seems kind of ego-centric. Weird.
5. Gemma makes a point of saying that her mom respects Bree's mom. Maybe Bree has a certain notion of Gemma's mom...
6. Gemma says that Bree's mom is still a pillar in the community. I think this not only signifies her standing in the religion, but her standing in Nottingshire. For Gemma, the community is Nottingshire. Gemmers19 may be addressing both Bree and Daniel in the same way with her reference to it in her latest video. It does seem she is trying a "Bree wake up and smell the roses" type of warning yet veiling such communication in a way that even a dumbass (i mean this in the nicest possible way!) like Daniel could understand and then emulate rather than his "Hey look at me, I just committed a felony in Lucy's apartment" method of sharing!.

Ok so it isn't that good but you see, Bree and Daniel are lovable characters. Them having to lie to set the stage for what was to come was important. It made you feel for her, worry for her, but before they introduced the most intense part it had to come clean so that no one contacted authorities and caused a huge mess. 

I started watching, with a friend, after it had been exposed and we are just as hooked as anyone. bree's character is cute and funny, very believable and lovable. If you don't like it then don't watch, no one is forcing you to.
