It's like the old soap oberas. Did you know, they were "live" and only lasted 5-10 minutes or something like that. Then 15min. Then they went to 1/2 hour and stayed like that for a while. Now they are all an hour long. Well, not counting the commercials, which account for 15+ minutes or so.

As he cannot simply visit her, knock at the door or phone her, he's trying to look after her in the only way he can - which I don not find "creepy" IN THE LEAST.

He does not have any kind of maling or violent intentions, quite the contrary he just wants to keep her safe!

That being said, Daniel should also have not blown up at you for choosing to go to the equinox party with your parents. Its important to you, and if he is your friend he should realize that. Giving you an ulimatum certianly got both of you nowhere and you are risking loosing a very valuable friendship.

Daniel, I understand that you are just concerned about Bree, but following her isn't going to help. If you concerned, let her know. Tell her. She has asked you to stop following her, and I think that you should respect her wishes. Thats what friends do. If she wants to do this ceremony, even though you may be worried about her doing it, you have to let her do it. The best thing you can do right now is be there for her, whatever she decides to do. Asking her to choose between you and her religion is not going to do nay good, and is just going to hurt the both of you. You will have lost an great friend, and Bree will have no one to support her.

This isn't mindless obsession, he isn't "crazy" about her or anything - he has an objective, momentary (I repeat: momentary!) reason to follow her.

He is not falling into an obsessive pattern of behaviour, he is simply following her AT THE MOMENT because he wants to find out what's really going on.
As he said himself in one of the video descriptions, he has no idea at all what's going on - and Bree won't let him get an idea, because she's understandably upset and angry with him after the ultimatum.

So naturally he's worried. This is not an "If I can't have her, no one will"-dynamic, doesn't any of you see that? 
It is an "I don't know what's happening and I'm worried right now!"-dynamic - please don't tell me you seriously don't see the difference!

He's not going to end up killing her as someone warned, and after all it wasn't even his intention to follow her around in the first place - in his second "stalker"-video the description says that he went to Bree's house IN ORDER TO TRY TO TALK TO HER.

But when he saw her "helper" waiting in the car, I imagine, he changed his plans and decided to wait and see what this helper was up to.
Maybe he was intimidated by her presence and did not want her to be there when he went to talk to Bree, or he wanted to see where she would take Bree out of concern.

In any case it wasn't his intention to "stalk" her.
Ok, you could argue he was lying when he wrote he wanted to talk to her - but then I'd rather not base an argument just on the assumption that someone in the series is lying because he's "obsessed" - it's just too easy, you could say that about anyone, and then where would we be? ;)

So, to sum it up his intentions have nothing in common with those stalkers you all referred to (I think "The Silent One" already put that best).

I'm all for religious tolerance, but this is an entertainment venue. If her religion didn't have a stigma, it could be something like Catholicism. I'm sure your life experiences have led you to mistrust the Catholic church and inadvertantly support destructive religious groups like Crowley's. The Catholics use Satan and people with other beliefs to further their ideology and I respect that you see that and want to defend those they stereotype. But let's be real, cults really do ruin people's lives. They prey on vulnerable people, take them away from any familial support they might have and it is always to serve the cult leader either financially or by stroking his/her ego. 
Anyway, the "creators" are doing this whole Blair Witch thing and if Bree's religion was something people knew more about and weren't weirded out by, it just wouldn't work. If you're upset that they're stereotyping maybe you should consider writing to them about it. Daniel shows up and makes everything better.  Daniel then denies he knows Cassie.  Could it be:  Daniel wants to be close to Bree, but is threatened by her relationship with Cassie, so he kills Cassie, leaving Bree alone and vulnerable, and then tries to play the 'friend', but when his attempts to control her start to make Bree uncomfortable, he gets angry, he rages on video against her parents, her religion, all the things that she won't give up for him.

I think there might be something to this.

She was self destructive and probably needed someone to keep an eye out for her.
