To begin with, they held Bree a lot longer than they had him. But most importantly, the stakes were a lot higher in this case. Daniel was nothing but a tool to get to Bree. They didn't necessarily need his cooperation for anything outside of the ransom video--which was what, a few minutes long. Now compare that to Bree. She is their ultimate objective. She needs to be totally committed to the Order. Not only in order to do the ceremony, but to take the role she did within the organization, and to do the various promotional videos. When you look at the contrast, they had every reason to drug Bree much more heavily, and to subject her to much more intensive psychological manipulation.
