The cowboy was called away at the last moment by someone off camera (yes, I know this is mentioned before, but it deserves revisiting). I feel this indicates that someone is with this cowboy and they are on J&B's (heehee, together Jonas and Bree are a whiskey) side. I really wanted Bree to catch this guy on camera (swing a little further right Bree!!!) so they could be compared to other people we know, like what Brother looked like from drops. Did anyone recognize the voice?? 2. They just went home. They could have gone to the house while the guy was out, etc etc. This will be tied to #4, so just wait. 3. They were so overly cautious about this guy from the get-go. Now, granted, a LOT of crazy things have been goin' down for this trio for a while, but they (as Jonas said, he "knows" what Watchers look like) didn't completely suspect he was in the Order. Yet, they refuse to talk to him or approach him, go to his house, or generally after their "first" encounter, be within a day's drive of the guy. 4. Jonas went INTO the van. Now, this is a big, ugly vehicle, but you could definitely, quite easily see from one end of the van to the other. This means that something INSIDE the van warrented further investigation. This leads me to think that there was either a) a container of some sort or b) some packing blankets that seemed to be covering something up. Whatever it was, Jonas HAD to get into the van to PHYSICALLY manipulate it in order to get the whole story. Maybe there was something inside or underneath it that made Jonas believe further investigation into Daniel's disappearance would be useless. And with Bree being the scared-y jerk she is, when Jonas said "let's get outta here" she had no problem with it. I'm thinking Jonas drove him&Bree home because he knows more, not because he wants to leave Daniel behind. then, of course, why call in a missing person? Well, this could indicate possibley two things: a) He is evil and wants to give the Order involved with the police a reason to get Bree somewhere where they could manipulate her into the ceremony. If he is evil and in with the Order, why not just turn her over a long time ago? Well... perhaps he thinks they could get her to the ceremony with less struggle this way. My grandpa used to work for Anheiser Busch, which owns Bush Gardens, so we got in free. But nobody ever wants to go anymore. I love roller coasters, too. I don't like the straight out up-and-down ones with the random dips, but I love the whirly ones that flip you upside and and spin you around until your brains turn to jelly. Yeah, Florida's weather is weird. I was in Jacksonville when it snowed all those years ago. One of my dad's friends went all over the city trying to find some snow that survived after hitting the ground and he made the mud base of a snowman and coated it with the snow. He drove it around in the back of his pickup truck showing his friends. Poor Mud/Snowman, he didn't last long. Perky, I took a break about there, too. I actually spent a year recovering before re-reading the series and getting through it this time. I skipped some pages because there are certain things I just don't enjoy happening in my novels. I actually just found out recently that there were comic books and now I'm dying to get my hands on them. I haven't been in a comic shop since I was 12, though, and I have no idea where to find one here. But I will! I want to see an artist's rendering of Jean-Claude. Basically, it's in kind of an alternate reality where shapeshifters and vampires and zombies seem pretty normal to everybody and in the US, vampires managed to get legal standing as citizens, which means killing them is murder without an order of execution. But once there is an order of execution, enter Anita Blake, short and sarcastic vampire executioner. Just keep in mind if you decide to read them, she, um, sort of loses all her finely tuned morals by book 6 and the books become, um, a little less about vampire slaying and a little more about her love life (and a lot of the sordid details). There are some vacation days, but they do not roll over to the next year, and the only place they're allowed to go on vacation is any place I happen to dream of, which means they're essentially unpaid extras (and if it's a nightmare, they're screwed). Salary is based on the cost of living, and since they live in my brain just about scott-free, they make a pittance. If they complain about it, the dream FBI, composed entirely of Smurfs, will come after them and they will simply disappear. There is no retirement package, even after they die, hey, I have nightmares for them to deal with, and there are no 401K's.
