McPhee was an early fan of the show, which unravels the mystery of a 16-year-old girl named Bree in short video segments posted on YouTube, Revver and an official Web site.

"I followed it from the beginning," McPhee told the Associated Press. "I thought it would be fun to meet all those characters."

McPhee's management contacted the creators of the Web series about a guest spot. The writers had already been devising a female character who briefly meets Bree and had been searching for ways to cast fans as characters. They readily agreed to cast McPhee in the nonrecurring role.

"She has an album coming out and thought it would be fun to go on the show," said Lonelygirl15 co-creator Miles Beckett.

A song from McPhee's debut album, which hits stores Jan. 30, will be featured as background music on Friday's Webisode, although McPhee will not be seen singing.

Instead, the 22-year-old will play an unnamed character who meets Bree and her friends after they briefly emerge from hiding. The episode, titled "Truth or Dare," was filmed last week. McPhee did not get paid for her role.

McPhee said she enjoyed the experience, especially the natural way she was able to deliver her lines. The show, though scripted, is shot in the form of a journal, where characters speak off the cuff into a Web camera.

McPhee said she learned some upcoming twists and turns of the closely guarded plot, but laughed when asked to share them.

"No!" she said, adding she would love to reprise her role.

And last, she talks about how her dad died because he wanted to get close to her, so she's deliberately pushing everyone away to try to keep them safe.

Creators...why the hell do you do this? I TRYyyy to like Bree, I really, REALLY do......but you go off and make her the most unlikeable character in the entire series! This is not a GOOD thing, when she's the MAIN character. This is not a good accomplishment, Creators. Sorry to say.

If I knew the character Bree in real life, I would slap her across the face and shoot her in the ovaries several times. I am 99.9% serious. There's only that .1% because maybe I wouldn't be as extreme.

Right when I try to like Bree, you post an episode where it makes her IMPOSSIBLE to for me to like. Yes, I am talking about the billions among kajillions of episodes where Daniel tries to help her out/be nice to her/figure out wtf to do, and all she can do is act like a f*cking 4 year old (no joke) and talk to her imaginary friends-- err, stuffed animals. Then I try to like her again, and you do it again. etc etc. 

NOW I was fine with her again, until this episode where she is a complete and total BITCH (yes, I am saying it.) to Daniel.

She KNOWS Daniel has been waiting for something like a kiss (from her, not to her) for forever now. Some of you guys were saying something like "nah Daniel wouldn't take advantage of Bree like that." --- Well guess, what, BREE took advantage of freakin' Daniel. Anyone who has been watching this at all knows that Daniel has always had a 'thing' for Bree.

He put his entire life out of whack -- TWICE, mind you -- for this girl. Then, right when he gets a slight glimpse of returned feelings, FINALLY...she completely stomps all over the poor guy. 

*Raises glass* Here's to another big "WTF???" to the Creators and/or Producers of this thing.

Why are you trying to make the main character the biggest bitch in the world?

I don't side with Bree because she has done nothing to make herself the heroine in this so far. She's a professional victim and there's always one guy or another to bail her out. I loved her character in the old days, the silly, clever girl who could be so creative with a video camera, a puppet, and a stack of scientific knowledge. But this girl who has spent the past, I don't know, 50 episodes taking her friends for granted? I admit, I've never seen someone who was close to me die and I'm sure everyone handles death differently. But for me, when someone close to me died, it didn't make me feel like I could casually hurt the people around me and shrug off their attempts at kindness. I thanked them, but usually spent time alone. I guess they haven't been giving her space to go that and if it was only in this recent strain of vids that she's been like this, I'd say, "Weeeell... maybe I'm being too harsh." But she's ALWAYS been like this when danger crops up. When she and Daniel were on the run, she was playing with her toys and telling him nothing about the reason he had to leave everything behind and saying things like, "Well, what about MY life?" Then she goes to stay with Jonas, who is baking cookies and making food for her and doing everything but dance on a ball and juggle to make her feel better and she all but ignores him. Now she kisses Daniel (I realize she was emotionally vulnerable) and then responds to him getting mushy about it with a very scathing, nasty vid. I hope there's some calculated reason for this. I hope it has to do with the Order. Even if he did kiss and tell (remember, so did SHE in a previous vid. And he may not have meant to make it sound so, er, suggestive), he's stil been the only person in her life who's been there for her through this whole messed up ordeal. And he never HAD to be. He just cared enough to be there.

Creators, I'm losing that lovin' feeling for Bree. Please do something! I want to still like her. I just don't understand how she can be so brutal to her friends! One should not respond to their own pain by sewing pain to all of those around them. i have to think bree is trying to protect him... but she was so harsh!  poor daniel, i don't know why she would do that...
yes he takes things too seriously etc but he's also very emotional and she knows this, and she's intelligent enough to have the foresight that this vid would make him throw himself out of one of jonas' windows.
maybe one of her nightmares was daniel getting hurt.  

and i want to add one more time that daniel didn't want her to see his vid because he wanted the DINNER to be a SURPRISE.  NOT because he didn't want her to know he said they kissed and he was all out of it because of that.  he believed what he was saying.  maybe he was fooling himself a little, making it more to himself than it was in reality, but now bree is fooling herself, making it mean less than it probably did.  "it was a kiss" she says, but the first kiss she ever initiated, and the second kiss she's had that we know of.

She IS vulnerable right now, and I really believe that she can't HANDLE some of this stuff right now, it's really hard for her to deal with the delicate relationship between her and Daniel, and I think that she doesn't have much self-esteem (what she said about her being bad news) at the moment.  Even though Daniel wasn't a liar really, just excited, and they both made a few mistakes, I think that we should cut our poor friend Bree some slack. Kiss and Imply- worse idea. Any 18 year old guy having been on a college campus would know what "hook up" could imply and a gentleman would correct. 
Kiss and Imply with the Emotionally Downtrodden- Worst idea ever. I know many guys that turn down much more than a kiss from friends who are in an emotional crisis- its the right thing to do. Girls get emotional make mistakes and have regrets. The fallout would have been less severe if he hadn't gone overboard. 

And I wouldn't have cared if they had sex except for the psychological impact it would have on bree. there's nothing wrong with kissing or losing your virginity. 

There is something VERY wrong with a guy friend allowing you to make decisions when you are too emotionally out of whack to even get out of bed during the day. It's sort of like knowing someone is on drugs and letting them seduce you- they aren't thinking as normal. The emotions are too strong. The ONLY thing I can say in Bree's defense is this. There was an obvious shout out to the commenters that thought she had sex with Daniel. You're exactly right. As I said earlier, it's, to me, like they're trying to make me not able to stand the character Bree any longer or something. She is so damn selfish and annoying now. They started a story, but they jump story lines before answers are given. I have watched waiting and waiting to see something more unfold, but new things arise way too often. Can the creators even remember where they started and did they ever know where they were going? 

I guess my expectations were too much for this and I gave it more credit for being something that could turn out big. I am fed up with the watching and the stupid comments people give about such videos. I can not believe people are getting into this the point they are. She told him her fears of the order maybe hurting Daniel if they thought they were more than friends and came up with this plan so the order would think they were fighting and thus not spending time figuring things out (because now it seems she is talking about things).

Thanks to his getting caught up with the Order he has two friends and literally no one else. And one of them he still doesn't even know that well. 

As for the celebrity guest star. I never watch American Idol so had they not told me I never would have known. But I am all for it, if loneley girl is going to a success and continue to entertain us for a LONG time then I am for anything that can get them publicity. And hey worse case scenario it will bring in some new fans. 

Sure it does make it less realistic. But the cat is WAY out of the bag and frankly once Bree and Daniel started running from the order the whole thing has been asking for big amounts of suspension of disbelief. T

hat isn't a bad thing but I think we need to accept for better or worse the days of them going out of their way to "make us believe" are over. I definitley don't think they should be considering turning away celebrity guest who will work for free away just beacause it "won't be realistic." For some positive feedback - I've been loving the recent twists and turns.  Shame to those demanding a video every day, it takes time to write something that is good.  Even moreso because you've got to condense everything you want to get across into two minutes.  It was more exciting when they were first out on the run though, with spotting things in the background etc.

Today's; Bree is obviously confused, feeling alone, and reaching up to kiss a friend is easily done when you're feeling vulnerable and you've been sitting in a darkened room together watching a movie!  Don't think even she knows what she wants, but she's sure she doesn't want to risk anyone else getting hurt.

Actually my first instinct was to use the previous Tachyon movie code that was employed a few weeks or so ago. The movie "name dropping is suspicious. i.e. - Jonas-Rocky, Bree- Bad News Bears. There's something going on there. I don't think they'd use the same cypher twice, though. The first cypher was the first letter of each movie on Tachyons message spelling out another message. I guess in this case it'd be R-B-N-B. Hmmmm. Could be that "R" is the first initial in a city or place, and then "BNB" could mean Bed N' Breakfast. I'm still wondering about some dates, though, like Daniel's Amsterdam 1974 shirt, The Bad News Bears (either 1976 or 2005) or Rocky (1976 again, OR the current titled "Rocky Balboa", 2006). I'm still working on the numerical.

Then afterwards, she puts out this outrageous vicious video mocking his feelings and faithfulness to her, saying she should have seen it coming. Of COURSE she should have seen it coming! then she turns herself into the victim again in a pathetic ploy for sympathy saying she doesn't understand why anyone would want to be with her. 

well, Bree, I think the problem is less that your father died to get close to you and more that you're self absorbed, manipulative, self righteous, and unkind. And you have a massive sense of entitlement. 

also, my god- if this video is a "show" to "throw off" the order, let me just say to the creators: really, that's fine, I don't mind plot twists, I don't mind sham videos. But if you want me to believe in these characters, you do have to give me some authentic moments between them. you haven't spent enough time developing their relationship! It goes around in a maddening, and sort of tedious circle. (as curiouslycurious points out in #381) well, we've been on the same ride too many times without getting anything new, and I am starting to no longer CARE!

Daniel should not have posted his feelings in such a way; I realize he may have been excited, but the language he used created an uproar that really upset Bree. Perhaps he wasn't thinking clearly because of his excitement. HOWEVER, in this case, Bree is more at fault for not being the better person and reacting in a proper fashion. 

For example - say that a boy tries to attack a girl. The girl defends herself well, and now he lies, immobalized on the ground. From there, the girl's act of self-defense ends, and she may run away, leave, or go to an official for further protection if necessary. Instead of doing any of the following, which are perfectly appropriate in this situation, she starts kicking the boy while he's down, calling him names, yelling onbscene language and purposefully aiming for his face or his penis when kicking him. The situation has quickly turned from self-defense to brutal assult, and now the charges will weigh most heavily upon the girl.

In this case, Bree took it much too far by letting her anger get the better of her. Although the subject in which she talked about needed clarification, the WAY in which she clarified it made her words over the top, rude, and far worse than anything Daniel placed on the internet.

Also, keep in mind that Daniel posted his video WITHOUT the intention of hurting Bree's feelings; he posted it to reveal his excitement and joy at Bree's possible turn around towards him after all the rejection he's had to deal with. BREE'S video, on the other hand, looks completely like she was intentionally trying to hurt him with her words, humiliate him, and put him off. 

I can better understand and accept her actions if it was towards a common stranger, but to her best and only friend....You think she would learn to be at least a little more gentle, after seeing how capable and loyal a friend Daniel is.

Knowing Daniel's character, she would not have to go over the top like this to express her vexation caused by his actions. This could possibly be an emotional overload spillage; if it is, she will be pardoned by me completely once she apologizes and MEANS IT. I believe Bree may have somewhat apologized for her actions...once, but she never changed her behavior, and when it did change, it became worse.

Growth can come through troubled times. In fact, that's when people tend to grow the most concerning their character, perception, and self. Bree doesn't seem to have become much of a better person. I think it's time for her to start growing, realizing her wrongs, letting go of the past, and looking towards the present, and who she has that she should be grateful for.

If she's sad and lonely, she needs to realize that she is being decidedly lonely. Whether she realizes it or not, she's pushing others away. She doesn't seem to WANT to be lonely, so her behavior becomes either paradoxal, out of ignorance, or out of wallowing in self-pity. Either way, it is frustrating. Creators - please give her a little enlightenment! It's very hard for me to believe that a 17 year old could be THIS incapable of acting kindly towards a close friend. She's nearly an ADULT. She's going to start having greater responsibilites than ever before, and she needs to brace herself and learn how to buckle-up to those challenges. All of the 17 and 18 year olds that were not mentally handicapted that I have ever encountered were more mature than Bree is now - ALL OF THEM. 

Characters need to grow, not stagnate or move backwards. The most well-written stories always have character development and growth within the main character that is realistic, relatable, and refreshing. 

However, I will say this: Daniel and Jonas are portrayed VERY WELL as characters. They are realistic, and when I watch them, I see the same types of behaviors as the guys at my lunch table, my friends, and even my boyfriend (Daniel even looks a little like him!). I would expect to see young men acting in such a way in real life. Good job on that, creators! I haven't posted in a long time, mainly because I've been quite annoyed with how the plotline has been developing - and by that, I mean not at all.

So I've been thinking, "Why all this nonsense?" It seems the characters have been doing nothing - which is extremely stupid. If the creators don't have alot of money to make episodes - like they claim - wouldn't they make every episode count?

So I present to you the following theory -

The last three episodes have gone as such:
1. Daniel claims he and Bree "hooked-up" (whatever he intended that to mean) and talked all night.
2. Daniel kicks Jonas out of the house to make a nice romantic dinner for Bree. We don't know what went on because we see it only from Jonas's perspective. All we know is Bree disappeared and the guys vacate to play the foosball.
3. Bree says she's mad at Daniel, and they are just "friends".

This in and of itself is pretty - well, lame... But think to a certain posting by OpAphid! Now looking through this lens, we see the past three episodes as:

1. Daniel finds the videocam hidden in the house. He and Bree have a pow-wow all night discussing the implications. They decide that Jonas cannot be trusted. The videocam was planted in his house and supposedly no one knows where his house is or that they are there, so easy conclusion to jump to! Now, in order to not raise suspicion and to make an excuse to do more planning, Daniel makes the video about how they "hooked-up".
2. They kick Jonas out of the house under the guise of a romantic night. They plan more and decide Bree should search the house for more incriminating evidence or a clue as to what the order is up to. Daniel claims Bree was upset and went to bed to allay suspicion of her absence. Daniel agrees to play "foosball" allowing Bree the reign of the house to search.
3. Bree makes her video about being mad at Daniel to explain her behavior the other night, thus keeping Jonas from thinking anything is off.

Also, Bree may have been "sulking" in her room previously only to really have been doing research on the Order. She would pretend to be sulking and such so that she wouldn't have to explain what she found or involve Jonas until she knew he could be trusted.

I hope you are right on your analysis. I would like to think there was some reason for the last three videos.

It had looked to me like those videos may have just been market research by the creators. The videos with Daniel and then Jonas put sex into the plot and then the video by Bree took sex back out. It seemed like we were back where we started and no progress at all had been made on the plot.

However, during this 'maybe sex' time the creators had lots of comments to read to see how the market was reacting. The overwhelming majority wanted Bree to stay innocent, and that's just what she did. If you go to Revver or YouTube and type in "Tachyon" it should come up. HSA and the ARG are a little bit advanced for MOST (but not all, of course!) new people. If you just hang around, you will find your niche where you fit.

Boy, that sounds horrible with nightmares every night. I used to get a lot, but then one night I had one that was especially bad. It was so bad that when it got to its very worst point, I thought that this was just so bad that it couldn't possibly be true.

Once I got to that point where I was still asleep, but I knew I was asleep and having a nightmare, I was able to take control of the dream. I could do anything that can happen in a dream, but I had full control. I could fly around and I could make anything I wanted just appear. I ended up having a great time. 

Once I came to expect I could do that, it got to anytime I started to have a bad dream, I would end up taking control. Unfortunately, I havn't had a bad dream in at least 15 years now, so I haven't been able to get into that state.

I got so good at it by telling myself as I was going to bed that if it got real bad, I was dreaming and I could take control of the dream. That was what got me so good at it that I got where I could do it every time.

Try doing that every night when going to bed and do it enough to fix it in your mind. If one nightmare wakes you up, think about how you can take control before going back to sleep. With all that hard work (and the websites / blogs / links / jpegs are all of serious quality) I'm sure the creators would want to include it somewhere in the LG storyline. I think watching one is right, the TKO at the end of jonastko doesnt necessarily mean "technical knock out" - it could mean TiKO..and link Jonas to the Order.
