I really though everything was gross until the last word: "Police..." How can they make that happen? EIther they got much more production capabilities recently, or this lead is going to be dissed right away: "Sorry, can't help, not enough clues. Our bad." --- which is not possible as she is underage. Maybe they'll try to send her to a creepy school, and She'll have to flee again...

Little options are left. Maybe... Jonas is witch the Elders, the traditionalist part of the Order, so is Gemma (pretending to disagree to be sure to keep control over her); Watchers made is really creepy to get rid of Daniel, a member of the reformists, left alone for a difficult task: send Bree back to the evil Deacons claws. But he knows about the bug in the car because he set it their; he fell in love with her, admiring her ability to survive to the Elders and their Watchers scare tactics --- and he now tries to send her to the Police. Why? BEcause they are with the Elders. Posting this video, he makes his intentions clear: he offer a peace treaty to the Elders, reckoning their victory; as no one can reach them: no money, no car, no internet cafe, etc. he must have left a way to reach him discretly for both sides or the Order.

You think this is too much? Why, at a time of such crisis would he post that, unless it was really needed? Bree is probably crying her fear out as we speak --- and he knows he is the only one to comfort her. The only thing he can do to get out of this mess, save and with her is by changing sides.

Why else would he ignore the Watchers, by editing them out as much as he could? Why would Gemma notice them so easily?

The reason his photos were on the Helper? Deacons got his ploy too early, and he freaked out for reason: the video was a warning to the Elders. Who then came to Bree's parents. Why would they not do anything about the creepy preparation? Deacons --- and suddenly change their mind after the Elders talk to them? The Order is undergoing a major internal war.

And Bree is not a symbol or a virgin: she is a living proof of the odd pratices of the Elders. She still has the antigens that her shots contained (that Daniel tried to keep in by only feeding her saturated fat, forcing her to no effort in the car pretexting Thanskgiving and a roadtrip). Why else would he stop having her hike? And why he now forces her to walk, under feds her, makes her freak out by leaving her alone at the wrong moment (when the burglary was find out)?

I think Bree only wants to go to Jonas' house because she's desparate not to go home. Yet she won't tell Daniel exactly why that's so... I think I can guess (um, like, it's the first place they'd be watching for you?) I think Daniel just wants to go home because he's out of money and ideas and doesn't want to deal with it anymore. I don't know if he even believes himself when he says that maybe they've given up on watching him. I think he wants to believe it because he just wants to go home and have it be over with. And why is he completely discounting Bree's theory that the police are involved? Whoever said they wouldn't believe them anyway is right. Imagine that conversation. 

TEENAGERS: "A cult kidnapped her parents! They put a tracking device in our car, they followed us around chain-smoking and all tatted up with scary symbols, and they hurt her stuffed turtle, who HATES that kind of thing since it's going to damage his comeback in the turtle Olympics!"

Flash to Bree and Daniel in a mental institution... Or else the nice officer will just pat them on the head, tell them to stay in school and quit playing games, and then call the Order as soon as they leave. 

Maybe going to Jonas' house would be too illogical to the plot here. But if they go back and Daniel gets taken, maybe Bree, if she got away, would have nowhere else to go... Who else could she turn to? That might be an exciting plot...

Incidentally, elliemae, I only carve the exotic cheese out of a fine sense of vengeance for the way it has oppressed the lactose intolerant and the easily constipated people of the world. It seems to me that she gets attached to people and things WAY too easily. Jonas offers a way out, and BAM! "Let's go to Jonas' house!" Meanwhile, the stuffed animals don't really do much, except maybe provide something familiar from her room. I wish Bree would ditch her toys and just put a little more trust in Daniel. =(

That would explain the pictures of Daniel on the internet.  Why Brees parents aloud him back in the house.  Why they would allow him at the ceremony to film.

If its not p monkey, maybe they planted a tracking device on her with the shots... either way Bree is involved.  She is to loyal to her religion.

Now, I loved this video! It's the first time in a while that the emotions of both Daniel and Bree feel real to me. Great!

So Tachyon called Daniel. Though I find that good in itself it makes me nervous. Tachyon would have the phone number from OpAphid I guess (unless Daniel and Brother know each other - which would open up a whole new set of questions). The Order wouldn't have had a problem getting the number since they were in Bree's house. I guess she had written it down somewhere. But what is bugging me is that for experts it's not too hard to 1. record the phone calls from a number they want to listen in on (Tachyon had to change her phone number before) and 2. track the mobile cause it frequently sends out pulses to the nearest transceiver or whatever the English word for this is.

Was it a good idea to ditch the car if you can probably still be tracked even if Owen is just his green self without any bug-additions? I would at least have tried to trade the car. Being on foot is just a very slow way to travel. And I don't think hitch-hiking would be a good idea in their current position. "Dear Mister with the black suit, could you take us home? There is certainly enough folk lore about "imaginary friends" helping kids in need. I think it would be fun if Bree's stuffies starting guiding her in more obvious ways.  Can't you just imagine?  Thor the Bear is her protector (Bears are said to symbolize Inner courage and protection).  Owen the sea turtle is the wise, sensitive confident (turtles symbolize wisdom and patience).  And P Monkey - well, he's "the wanker" trickster friend who cheers her up and represents her carefree side (Monkeys symbolize intelligence, mischieviousness and have a clever mind that helps them out of sticky situations.)

I don't want to spark a huge debate here, but I felt the need to address a few of the statements made.

Most importantly, based on the Firstites' comments, crying "First!" isn't an "Ooh!  Me!  Me!" thing at this point.  It's a way of expressing excitement.  And yes, showing your support for General Firstsayer as demostrated by the "Firrrsts" placed at the end of posts way down on the page. 

I'm 22, and many of the people here who cry "First" with glee are older than I am.  Which is good, because if I really was 13, it would probably hurt my feelings to be called "kiddie" constantly.  (I distinctly remember being highly offended by the term when I was between the ages of 12 and 15.  Of course, today I refer to my friends as "kids I hang out with" all the time.)

I've spent hours reading pages with well over 500 comments, and trust me, I understand how reading the same repetitive "Jonas is so hot!" can be less than enjoyable.  But part of what's so cool about the interactivity of this show (shlog) is that everyone can voice their opinion.  I think this should be a space where anyone can say what they want without having to feel self-conscious--so many people post "I'm sorry" after their posts because they're worried that others are judging what they've just written.  Even as I type this, I worry that it's too long and that people will react negatively.

Watching Lonelygirl instead of applying to jobs, acceptable.
Ignoring your final exams to watch a show about teenagers on the run from a cult, acceptable.
Sending E-mails to characters that (I hate to say it) don't actually exist, acceptable.
Using the spare time you have while your kids are at soccer practice to pick up a stuffed toy you'll feature in your next spin-off fan video, acceptable.

In the plot: I wonder why Daniel never mentions going to his parents. I mean, I can understand their being "hands off" and all, but that doesn't mean _zero_ concern.  The absence of his considering them for possible help seems really conspicuous.
Maybe his parents "disappeared", too.  I'm no expert on teh plot line, but, have there been any clear indications that his parents are really around?  I guess Bree had once mentioned that she had called Daniel and got his parents ~ or did she reach his friends, not his folks?

I was noticing how well-done the site is (despite teh absence of an "Ignore" button).  Some of teh nuances in the formatting are great. For instance, the way screen caps are set. The latest one with Bree's hands covering her face is really beautiful, just the way her hands are placed.  -- expresses a world of feeling and thier rather dire circumstances.

You are so right about the prominence of Owen.  I realize that his head IS the largest of all the stuffed animals, but it is hanging out of the bag far enough that it is featured in many shots.  I agree that this is symbolic of Owen's implication in their being followed.

Regarding the watcher in the park video:

I just don't see it.  I mean, even if they are not wearing suits anymore, and instead thong bikinis (a la our discussion a few days ago), it just looks like some guy hanging out in the park.  It seems like as soon as we saw evidence of watchers in "Motel Pool" and "Breakfast in Bed" we were suspecting every extraneous person of being a watcher.  Southern California is one of the most populous places in the US and I have a feeling that it is hard for the Creators to keep bystanders out of the videos at all times.  Plus, why would they want to?  Bree and Daniel are supposed to exist in this world, one that is clearly inhabited by other people.  Just my thoughts on that subject.

Other than that, I am not sure where they should head to next.  They obviously aren't 100% sure either.  Walking does take a lot more time, but will eventually get you somewhere if you have a destination in mind.  They seem to be just wandering around aimlessly at this point, which will surely result in them being exhausted, hungry, sick and depressed or in them being found by those that they are running from.

Yes, now Daniel has left behind his job, education, family, friends and car for this girl.  She hasn't showed him the letter or given him any details regarding what they are really running from!  This needs to happen soon.

I don't like the idea of Bree being evil, and as of now, don't really believe she is, but let's play "what if?" for a minute.

If Bree is evil, maybe the letter from her parents gives her specific instructions on how to strip Daniel of all support systems (car, school, parents, etc) so that it will be easier for the Order to close in on him.  Maybe she doesn't want to go home now because she knows that they are waiting there for him?  Perhaps it was Bree's job all along to bring Daniel into this, and after all that he has done for her, she can't do it in good conscience.  Perhaps that is why she is so reluctant to go home.

Ok, off the "what if?" train.  I don't think the police are going to do much to help them.  If the Order doesn't want to be discovered, I don't think they will be.  To Jonas?  To home? Besides the creators arent going to kill off bree or daniel or have anyone resort to canibalism. I think if anything after this whole ordeal 1 or 2 things will happen.

1) Daniel with get home and go off to college and want nothing to do with bree any longer.

dude...guys...everyone stop shouting about OWEN THE TURTLE being cut open and shit. That was never even CONFIRMED. If you check the damn video all Bree says is "I think they hurt poor Owen." or whatever, and it simply shows Bree holding owen and Owen has a bandaid on him.

It is ENTIRELY plausible that Bree, being the 16 year old who acts like an 8 year old, was simply being "cute" and "sweet" and "funny" by placing a bandaid on her stuffed animal, to indicate he was alive and hurt.

I simply cannot stress this point enough. Can no one read this? I've tried talking about this fact before but no one ever replied. Instead we just got even more: "OMG OWEN HAS A TRACKING DEVICE IN HIM NOW!"

Does it seem like they suddenly freaked out about the tracking device for no reason?  Did we miss something here?  Why does this Tachyon person hold so much sway?  Why would they totally ignore the possibility of the tracking device being in the stuffed animals?

It just seems rather sudden to ditch the car unless they actually had another run-in with the Watchers.  Supposedly they haven't seen them since they left the last motel, so why the sudden paranoia?

I'v been thinking a lot about the "kidnapped" parents... and the note and money they left.  Didn't these middle-class folks have jobs?  Wouldn't someone else other than Bree have missed them by now?  I went back an watched the "kidnap" video, and I am not sure they were being taken against their will.  Just because dad had his head down doesn't mean he was beaten down.

The note told Bree to stay with Daniel... how convient.  I'm bewginning to lean with the folks that have speculated that Bree is leading Daniel to the slaughter in some way.  After all, she has not been very forthcoming, and all the goofing around with the stuffies, and not very upset about missing parents, not wanting to go home or to the police. I like how Daniel yells at Bree that she shouldn't trust Jonas because she only knows him from the internet, but Daniel is willing to throw away the car - and any chance they have to continue to run from the Order - on the word of Tachyon, someone he only knows from the internet.

This was the stupidest decision!! There was a million+1 ways this could have been handle better!! 

Like Bree pleaded - they should have search the car over. Or hell, traded it in at some used car dealership for a less expensive car (using the profit from the trade to continue their journey). 

Or dropped it off in a safe - and logical - location like a motel parking lot &amp; then have some trusted friends or Daniel's parents pick them up. The car in a motel parking lot would possibly throw the Order off their scent for a couple days. They would survey the motel for a while before they realized they weren't staying there.

Is there a video, or some indication of what the content of the message was that Tachyon sent to Daniel. I know that Tachyon's videos have been saying she has a message she must deliver, with her brother(?) but sometime she feels she must carry it alone.

Is there any indication that Tachyon is Daniel's sister? This might explain why he so easily followed her advice. It seems also that the parents of Tachyon had been "hands off" in the past (there are videos that describe her efforts to try and make it alone - and wanting to come home). Also, Tachyon seems to like making videos. Daniel wants to be a film maker. Perhaps it is a passion that runs in the family.

Now, it is my understanding that Tachyon used to work with the Order, but defected. This might indicate that Daniel is or formerly was involved with them.

This might explain his reluctance to seek his parent's help. Perhaps they are still involved. This might also explain why Daniel became Bree's friend when no one else would - no questions asked (you know, aside from the fact that Bree is a hot, smart chick). This might also explain why the cult was so quick to begin to suspect and photograph Daniel. They knew he had started to defect from his plan to help control Bree. 

It could explain why Daniel was willing to drop everything to help Bree. He felt guilty for his involvement. This might also explain why Bree, though not fully realizing why, always found it hard to be completely open with Daniel. Deep down, she suspects something.

What if they've been trying to make it seems like they've been on the run to throw the Order off their track?  What if they (or at least one of them... hmmmmmmmmm, Bree?????) have some kind of a master plan to confront the Order?

In fact, that's how almost all of them come into existence.  (Though almost all religions would deny this.)

My understanding is that Thelema does not preach anything evil, although some percieve the religion that way.  I'm confident at least that the majority of Thelemites are not evil, although that religion is certainly not my cup of tea.

BUT... Because of Mr. Crowley's reputation and other perceptions, it is realistic that symbols and elements of Thelema would likely be used by a fictional or real cult or group which specifically percieves itself (or wishes to be percieved) as evil or at least pagan or heathenist.  For example, a younger Ozzy Osbourne (who sells records by creating an image of being evil) has a song entitled "Mister Crowley," which is a reference to the same Crowley.

So it is realistic that a fictional cult would use these symbols or Crowley's name and similar terminology without "being" Thelema.

They might even call themselves Thelemites, even if they are not accepted by "mainstream" Thelema.  A similar phenomenon exists with "Southern Utah" Mormons.

If you believe that when they make money, the quality of what they produce will be corrupted in some way, then are you suggesting that they should create a "corrupted" product in the future.

but who am i to talk - after all, i'm obviously not making my point against advertising very clearly either! paulo, i think advertising is unfortunate wherever it is, but believe me - there are many shows i watch and enjoy that are already 'corrupted' by advertising (as you put it). i am not so naive as to suggest that all advertising everywhere should be banned, but your argument seems to rest on the premise that if advertising exists anywhere, it is illogical (or selfish) to resist it anywhere.

my example of the novel (as i'm sure you're aware) was in response to your suggestion that the creators would be making money from advertising sometime in the future so why not now, and i used it to point out that there are other ways for the creators to make money in the future - ways other than product placement.

but since you're so impressed with the novel example, allow me to riff onit further for a moment. many, many people, particularly those working at creative endeavours, produce work for no financial renumeration at teh beginning of their careers. many beginning writers publish work (short stories, say) for free as a way to make themselves known, which will in turn get them an agent, which will in turn get them a publishing deal, for example.

To suggest that LG15 is purely a one-sided 'gift to the world' that is in no way benefiting the creators is, as i have suggested in earlier posts, not quite the case. perhaps we just have differen definitions of what constitutes a benefit?

Yes, true.  And they have done that.  In such cases, this almost always stops when they find they are able to do otherwise and get paid.  Once they are ABLE to do do so, it no longer has the "career boosting" value that it once did to them.

Mark my words, Jessica (if not others) will get high-paying offers soon enough, and when that happens she should take the work.  My hope is to keep her with LG15 when that time comes.

I am busy writing position statements for my defense of my diss proposal which isn't even until February.  I'll probably be a mess in Feb. Marbella, I am a big migraine sufferer as well.  I have a "Migraine Kit" I carry around with me everywhere, which includes my migraine meds, a hot/cold mask, a sleeping mask to block out light, earplugs to block out sound and some lavender sleep balm.  I also take an herbal supplement everyday to prevent them.  So, I feel for you.  I hope they go away soon!  I have a feeling mine will lessen once I finish grad school.
